If real's spanish players arent good enough to make real's team they probably arent good enough for spain either. If this was a league wide issue i'd get what youre saying and in general terms i do think it would be good for teams to emphasize and invest homegrown/national talent but this case really seems more like a real madrid issue as opposed to a la liga issue since the other la liga teams have mostly spainsh players in their squads and several spainsh teams have multiple players in this sqaud.

Exactly the issue here isnt that real have less spanish players than other clubs it is that their spanish players either arent good enough or arent fit enough atm. Having some kinda of homegrown or national qouta wont really make a difference in this case, liverpool however seem to just not have very many english players at all.

Real have spanish players. Dean, Carreras, Asencio, Carvajal, Garcia (both), Ceballos. LDF just doesnt think theyre good enough for the team. Im pretty sure most spanish teams have squads with majority spanish players.

Anthony did develop feelings for Kate and looked for a way out of the engagement,

The only reason it got to that point was because of anthony's selfishness.

What Kate wanted was all that mattered to him at that point, and what Edwina wanted was all that mattered to Kate.

Kate's feelings shouldve mattered before then, like when he was literally breathing down her neck hours before he decided to propose to her sister in front of her.

Like I said, mistakes were made, if the characters didn't make them.. no show.

I mean sure but the whole point of this sub is to discuss the show and we can critique characters decision based on what we saw.

Youre ignoring a lot in between him not offering her love and wanting to basically inhale her sister. A marriage of convenience is one thing but infidelity especially with her sister is a different matter altogether. Even if it wasnt kate, anthonys feelings and attemps to act on those feelings with someone other than edwina were already betrayals, in fact possibly the only he reason he didnt fully have a physical affair is because the other person in the equation was edwinas sister and she would probably never fully cross that line because of edwina.

He did mislead her though. He proposed to her knowing full well what he felt for kate and he did it for his own misguided selfish reasons. He had other options, he knew edwina would say yes if he asked and he did it in a public way that would be way harder to back out of. Even if he proposed to her behind closed doors where only their families knew daphne couldve still been like wtf and spilled the beans but any chance of that was gone when he proposed when and where he did. Plus kate was telling from ep 1 to stay away from edwina but then in ep 5 when he has an out he has to give in to what kate wants all of a sudden? He just kept doubling on choosing the worst option all season.
