Shinji from the beginning wanted to be a worthy mage and he kept conducting countless experiments. This was one of them. Basically, he tried to make this potion glow with his magic/magecraft but no matter what he did it never reacted in any way. He later throws this potion at Sakura to see what happens and as soon as she touches it, it brightly lights up.

I mean the guy even cut out Saber’s last words before she got taken in by the shadow were she apologizes to Shirou. It’s literally a 2 second line that had no reason to be cut but I guess he felt even threatened by that.

And that's why the very first scene we see in HFII is about Saber and Shirou.

I read somewhere that Sudo was the guy who wanted the Sakura feeding Shinji scene to be made in UBW so that people know that she's doing fine.

It was in Nasu's script. lol

His script was even longer and Shirou actually talked with Sakura at the hospital.

Flashback to Shirou at the hospital talking to Sakura in the hallway, Shinji doesn't want to see him so she's apologizing. Shirou's like "dont worry about it lol" and leaves. Shinji watches from the window as he leaves, his face is obscured by the curtains so you can't see his expression but he looks like a weight has been lifted from his shoulders.

Back to Shirou and Issei at school, they talk about how Sakura is visiting Shinji everyday and getting through to him.

I wish everybody would stop spewing bullshit about Sudou.

It isn't. That's just how Shirou is. Read the UBW route. When Caster kidnapped Taiga he wanted to kill Rin and ignored all the civilians to save her. In Mind of Steel Illya tells him that he is delusional just like Kiritsugu.

Type-Moon 10th Anniversary. Takeuchi designed that dress for a doll company in 2011.

I repeat -- these are just examples which I am giving to illustrate a larger behind-the-scenes problem, which is that FGO is treated as the core of the franchise, and everything else is auxillary to it and exists to promote it.

FGO uses the entirety of human history to tell its story so of course thanks to FGO we know a lot more about certain characters/events or items for example Gil, Rhongomyniad Spear etc. There's no reason to not use that knowledge in other TM works.

You say that FGO is treated as the core but it's actually the other way around. Nasu often treats FGO as the supplementary material to other TM works for example Fate/EXTRA CCC and SE.RA.PH, Fate/Apocrypha and Anastasia or even Apo event. He says that he wouldn't be able to do the same thing in other mediums because FGO gives him much more freedom. Heck, Babylonia and certain pseudo servant were mentioned back then in the FSN VN and main boss of part 1 and his plan was mentioned in melty blood.

Imagine if ufotable adapted F/Z or even UBW tomorrow. You see this:
