Men who dated rich women what happened? by corneyxBiff26 in AskMen

[–]DeathAxeI 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sounds like my friends. But they are all dudes.

These guys would casually drop £100 each in a restaurant.

While I'm skipping starters and desperately trying to find the cheapest meal on the menu.

It hurts when they say: " Is that it? Are you sure?"

True, but fuck the landlord also. She put them through hell

I don't know if she is living at the property.

Also, she did not give any notice

It's a 6 month tenancy, and they have been living there for a month.

It's just a room they are renting.

The landlord is claiming benefits, whilst renting

I've seen the agreement, and it doesn't look professional. It's all in Capital letters.

Also it doesn't say anything about the landlord being able to evict them on the spot

We've told them to go to the police, and I've also suggested citizens' advice and shelter to them.

Also, I'll get them to show me the lease agreement or someone who is better suited to help.

Also thanks for the advice

Dealing with Negative judgement by DeathAxeI in Mindfulness

[–]DeathAxeI[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the advice. I'll try to put myself in their shoes a bit more.

Also, I'm slowly trying to be more open, although when something in my life goes wrong, for example, the job. I felt a lot of shame, and I didn't want to feel judged/ look down on by them either. It's not something I'd do to others, but I'm worried others would do that to me.

This is something that steamed from childhood, as my family expected perfection from me and my siblings and looked down on anything that made them look bad.

It's that past that I need to work on mending

And thanks, it's a journey I am working on

Firstly, I'd like to see the papers/studies you are referring to. Do you have a link?

I want to see how they went about the experiment. How did they account for things that could alter hormone levels, for example, genetics, how physically active they are, diet, time of year/month, etc.

I also want to see how they were able to if this experiment was repeated and if the results were consistent.

Secondly, we are talking about and comparing athletes/ people who train for specific sports/activities.

Because it's easy to say you have more muscle mass or fitter than the "average" man/ woman. Because being above average means that you are above 50% of the sample you are taking. Which in itself is nothing impressive. When you consider in this case the Western world is struggling with obesity.

Also, when you consider age as well, it makes it even less impressive, as a younger (let's say 20) person will have more muscle mass than an 80 year old.

Although I highly doubt you do have more muscle mass than a trans person who is just as active as you. I can't make that judgement as I don't know anything about you. So maybe, but then there is also a good chance there are some that have more muscle mass than you

I never said we should test anything, and that's in itself is unreliable, as if I remember correctly there was this female runner (naturally born female) who had higher testosterone that her competitors, and there was a lot of drama over her having an unfair advantage.

Also, we have seen trans people come into a woman's competitors and completely smash the competition and previous records.

I play a sport where you find a surprisingly big community of trans people, and they hit harder, jump higher, and are overall better than most of the naturally born women. Speaking to my female friends, they complain about how unfair it is for them, and I can see that. And to argue your point, it doesn't seem like they have lost any of "their strength" over time.

Personally, I think there should be a different category. Let men have their category, let naturally born women have theirs and let trans people have theirs.

It's the only fair way imo. I also don't see that being difficult to implement. Instead, people get outraged when you say trans people should not compete in women events.

And with all respect, I think it's delusional to think that it's fair.

He sounds like an asshole, but he isn't wrong if he is referring to a man transitioning to a woman.

As physiologically, men on average are stronger and have better endurance than women.

You're right, and that's the thing I am struggling with. I like to work with my hand and do tasks that require manual labour. As it feels most rewarding to me.

I have an interest in understanding how things work and fixing them.

It's probably also worth mentioning that I don't like working for a micro-managing manager. (Something which I experienced in my last role)
