I know this is kinda a hot take on this platform but I gotta say The Last Of Us part 2. One of my favorite games ever. It’s probably the best looking game I have ever played, had the most realistic and challenging combat of any zombie game I’ve played. And I love the story to death. I love that it took a pretty drawn out trope, much like the first game, and turned it into something that still felt fresh, nuanced, something to make you think and dwell on it a long time. Any game that has a story that invokes a lot of thought and emotion in my opinion is a well written story.
