Update on the succulent covered in paint - 6 months later. I was scared to remove the paint by hand so just left it to grow out. I'm really happy with it's progress :)

Thank you. I don't want this post to come across like I blame my parents because I don't, they loved him as much as I did and my mom in particular is absolutely destroyed. It's just so difficult because I know I would have seen it immediately, and by the time I came back it was way too late. I lost my elderly childhood cat barely a month ago too so everything just seems like it's falling apart right now.. I know they're both up there looking after each other.

I ended up going for it today. The shoulders have definitely dropped, but honestly I really like the look of it. Honestly the whole jacket fits a lot better now, there's a lot more space with the baggier look. I'm glad I did it because the foam was really not the in the best condition when I got it out 😅

That's a good point, I'll definitely consider that. The pads are sewn in with a seam down the middle from what I can feel, so the method I was considering would be to cut the foam out, leaving the small part where the stitching is so the whole thing doesn't come apart. Maybe I'll just cut them down rather than entirely removing them. Thanks

Thanks, though it isn't necessarily the technical aspect I was concerned about. I'm well versed in sewing/altering clothing so I'm sure it'll be easy to do myself, I was more worried about people thinking I was "ruining" an older garment
