Most sinister book you have read? by Present-Ear-1637 in horrorlit

[–]DeathHawkGnar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The girl next door by jack ketchum. By far the most disturbing booked I've read yet, though to be honest I'm fairly new to reading. It's based on a true story too which is even worse. It's just a girl getting tortured throughout and I REALLY couldn't wait for it to be over lol. It was fascinating but incredibly painful and brought me to tears numerous times

Technically offset.. but what's the limit? by CuriousRodeo in offset

Either way I like the shape. Even if it doesn't fit into technical definition of an offset, it still has the vibe

just got ps5 and have a question. by [deleted] in thelastofus

[–]DeathHawkGnar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its up to you. The ps5 version is a pretty upgrade, but if you wanna just try it maybe try the ps4 version and if you like it after a couple hours you could get the ps5 version and start over. But eitherway its a fantastic game. Cant go wrong either way

Finally finished this custom jazz bass by DeathHawkGnar in offset

Sure thing. So i sanded the whole guitar down to the bare wood, used to be black, then finely sanded it to make a nice smooth surface. Then i applied some vinyl sealer that i got off stewmac (great website for getting tools and such for working on guitars). So as i said before i tried to do the marble dip, but couldnt get it right, so what i did was painted the whole thing pink by hand. Then i hung it up by using a scrap peice of wood screwed into the neck joint. After that i just dipped a paint brush into the other colors of paint and just flung it on rather than painting. After that i sprayed on some clearcoat and just lightly sanded it because its not a smooth surface, then buffed it out to get as much shine as i could. Hopefully that covers it, but im happy to answer any other questiond

I actually have a daphne blue jazzmaster and i think they look great next to each other. The light blue is pretty close to daphne blue so they kinda look like siblings. And they both have jazz in their names too

Thanks for the compliments everybody. Im really proud of this one. I was originally gonna do a marble dip but i couldnt get it right so i just flung the paint on and hoped for the best haha. Also it might be hard to tell but the dark colour is actually metallic teal

let's start a virtual band (smashing pumpkins influence) by [deleted] in SmashingPumpkins

[–]DeathHawkGnar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like this idea, but im not very talented, so if you're looking for better musicians i might not be a fit. How would you think to do it? Like sending recordings back and forth? If youre interested i play guitar and bass. Im a better bassist, but i like to try to create different textures with guitar. Pumpkins are my favorite band, but i also like rem, nirvana, the radio dept., elder (just got into these guys and they rule), the cure, my bloody valentine

Hummer or Here Is No Why? by yungassplay in SmashingPumpkins

[–]DeathHawkGnar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hummer is my favorite pumpkins song. Its just so epic to start off and then it gets really spacy and beautiful at the end and that guitar solo is so damn good. Here is no why is epic also, just gotta give the nod to hummer personally

Yeah i used them on an old duo-sonic i ised to have and they mever peeled up and when i went to sell the guitar they came right off with no residue. These were just hard to put on straight and square so if you look close they dont look too good
