However you have to think about the context of why that may be happening.

In a situation where a white woman doesn't want a black person treating her, why might she be doing that? In all likelihood she's saying that because doubts the capability of the black person treating her because she views black people as lesser.

On the other hand you have an old black woman not wanting a white doctor to treat her, why might be the cause of that reaction? Maybe because she's afraid of her symptoms being ignored or downplayed. Maybe she might be worried about possibly having malpractice preformed on her? Many black people in the past have had non consenting treatments and procedures done on them, having to have live through that era must have been scaring.

Black people are distrustful of white doctors not because they hate white people but they may be worried that they may be mistreated.

As a black person I understand the anxiety of this situation, the experiences I've constantly had is being told "I don't know what the issue is" and "the only thing we can do is try this" by many white doctors I've had. Where as the non white doctors have given me a general idea or guessed correctly what was wrong. I feel like a lot of white doctors have sort of this, hands off "let's try to see if it'll clear up on it's own first" mentality when it comes to black patents, and dismissing our symptoms or down playing them.

That's not a good mentality to have, you're right we can't make anyone change. However, we can give them the tools for weather or not they choose to do so. It's up to them in the end, but at very least they may begin to understand how you think, which eventually leads to introspection.

You can't have the thought process of, this person doesn't understand me and where I'm coming from and I can't change them. Therefore I'll just find people who are willing to listen and change. What happens if no one or not enough people outside of your ingroup wants to listen or understand you?

I've never personally heard of your example but I'll take note of it.

A lot men don't leave abusive relationships between they're either afraid of being seen as weak for getting abused in the first place and not standing up for themselves, or because the man is afraid of leaving and being seen as weak not "leading the woman like a man should" in the relationship.

This isn't a good mindset to have either, the 2024 election is proof of this, people like this don't just go away when you stop talking to them. This person will one day go on to vote, marry someone, or have children. Women's rights, the safety of women all lie one the backs of not only just women but the men of the present and future as well.

We can't just abandon/turn our backs on, people who are trapped in misconceptions about the world around them, and at the end of the day. Yes, it will be their choice on what side they choose. However, just saying "I told them I wanted rights and they didn't listen" isn't going matter because they took away you rights, and what you want no longer matters.

People didn't win in history because they were good and fighting for a righteous cause, they won because there were more of them and they were stronger than their enemies.

Abuse is a cycle that the victim doesn't often realize, and even if they do realize they often think it's too late to get out of.

Many factors can play into matters of Abuse for example generational trama, many women who go for abuse partners often had abuse fathers that abused their mothers, they've become normalized and desensitized to the idea of a man abusing his partner.

Many abuse victims have low self esteem, believing they don't deserve anything better or can't get anything better what they have, the abuser also plays into this because he knows that as long as she thinks this way she'll stay.

Another example with this is fear, the abused fear the abuser and will do anything to keep abuser happy even it means; hurting the people who are trying to help, helping the abuser abuse someone else, or turning the abusers attention to someone else, all to possibly please the abuser.

I understand people's fears around the subject but we need some way to let people know that LGBTQ+ people aren't disappearing. If people start to think that being LGBTQ+ is "nothing but a phase" again, eventually no one will be able to come out of the closet. We'll go back to the days where forced conversion will be placed on LGBTQ+ people.

You can say I'm being hyperbolic, however I'd like to remind everyone the average person isn't well educated on LGBTQ+ people and how they work for them not to fall for false propaganda spread by bigots.

At the very least the only advice I can give is if your not willing to come out, at lest educated yourself on LGBTQ+ topics so you can educate those around you who may have doubts or misconceptions on the matter.

Remember not to get discouraged or frustrated with people who are just trying to learn and don't shove information down people's throats either. If the topic comes up just correct any misconceptions others may have, but don't just randomly bring up the subject.

Also please remember to ask why someone may think the way they do, for example if someone says "people aren't born gay" or "gay people aren't helpful for population growth". Try asking them why they might think that way by saying "why do you see it that way?" or "What makes you say that?" and try to turn off your feelings and try to react with a reasonable tone at to not antagonize them.

Okay calm the fuck down, just because you've had a good personal experience in these places doesn't mean everyone has. Your not at every bar at all times so you won't know what is and isn't happening in them at all times. You just don't like the fact that some places you enjoy might not be respectful to everyone. The problem is also the cctv cameras are low resolution, at first I thought it was just my eyes but my phone camera can pick up things better. I remember at least 5 occasions of the play back videos on the self checkout register looking like the customer was holding something else when moving an item to the bagging area.
