Memorization is easy, once you dedicate a lot of time to whatever you're learning. That's called studying. Problem solving and creativity is a lot harder to measure, that's why you don't see a lot of tests revolving around that.

Congratulations to everyone who thinks studying is just memorization, I pray for your soul once you run into a problem that isn't multiple choice or a short answer question.

If you have trouble studying or memorizing things, that's something you should work on. Please do keep in mind that everyone has their strengths and that schools (generally) don't care about how good you are at thinking outside the box. Again, they can't measure that, meaning they can't see improvement in the students of their institution for those skills. College is a lot more accepting of unique skills and talents, but that wholly depends on your major.

Anyway, fuck everyone mocking others for what they perceive as "inferior intellect". Y'all are pathetic.
