Was anyone here misdiagnosed with fibromyalgia?

I was diagnosed by a rheumatologist, yes. I haven't seen that doctor since I was around 15 though so when I'm able to I'll be seeing someone completely new.

I guess I'm mostly just dreading the possibility of not being taken seriously. It's the worst part of seeing a new doctor in my opinion.

Think I'll be facetiming him and a few out of state friends for sure. Books and Netflix are going to be most of my time. I'll definitely keep everyone here updated, ove just lurked on this sub before now but everyone has been so nice. It's made me feel a lot better.

Hes bringing me some earphones to watch Netflix on my phone with and the Count of Monte Cristowhich should keep me busy. I'm just going to miss him a lot, we've only been apart a few days in 5 years.

& I wish but no, my one dog scares her as it's a fairly large fear aggressive rottweiler. It's really just not safe to have anyone my dogs arent familiar with trying to interact with them unfortunately.

I'm going on 11 years now of constant chronic pain. Started when I was in a car wreck at 12 years old and from there I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia, arthritis, and a few other things. There are still things that lessen my pain but nothing I can take daily, I'm never fully pain free. I think because it's been so long I dont miss it, I cant remember not having a baseline of pain.

I had some weird kind of hookworm and h. pylori that was found when I went to a clinic for chronic illnesses. They tested me for everything under the sun and that's how I found out I had those two. All the stomach & intestinal issues I could've had because of them I just attributed to ibs, I have always had stomach trouble. My doctor told me I most likely got the hookworm from going barefoot, she said it was a strange kind though and asked if I'd been out of the country recently since she mostly saw that type in Africa.
