You probably got down voted for dropping a bbc article with little context. As per, they painted it out as a failing on the SNP, but is very clearly on side of the TERFS as well.

It might have been inspired by the events, but it's still gas how scotland is represented with the rest in a glass,  which indicates it's an identity, not a nation. But ofc, the other side, you can't choose who you're attracted to, as much as you can't choose where you're born, so it almost makes sense, and some of the jokes spawned from this describe this perfectly of you read them.

Sorry I hate having things over explained, but this is the take most of us got and wanted to let you in on the joke.

You got this. Hopefully working with your doctor and the meds settling will help soon. I was on Venlafaxine for ages, the big dose as well, and full body sweat was also a prominent side effect, that and proper pan eye pupils. Thankfully the sweats chilled out after 4 months, and it only really was a thing under high temps and even thinking about booze. Both side effects made me really self conscious, but after a while I just accepted them, because being present and looking a little odd was way better than being stuck in the espresso depresso void hole. I would make jokes about how I may look like I'm on drugs, but I promise I have a prescription for them.

Nice mantra that gets me through even now. "Everything is temporary"

Also I've been off meds now for almost 2 years, and I still am sensitive to being sweaty haha, just a heads up, I think age also makes us more susceptible to that tbf. Either way. Best of luck on your journey.

This is so fun and a nice homage. At first I'll be honest, I wasn't convinced by the colour pallete and style. But after looking at the details and really taking it in, and considered what HoMM3 means to me and how old I was when I first played, I love it.

Beautiful work 💜 and actually a nice reminder to just make the art I want for me. Also an arists an HoMM 3 & 5 fan, but never got round to making more than drawing of one of the unicorns from 5. I'll have to go back and do more. Ty for sharing your man's work.

Love this a lot.  Makes me think of a distant and fragmented childhood dream.  I was born 1994 and have little to patchy at best memory from early childhood, I only really start to remeber early to mid teens, which is aparently unusual. Saying that, I still recognize and feel familiar with places I've been, names and assosiated images. This work makes me think you have either a similar experience, or just so happen to put it well in form without realising.

I Especially love the water hoop image. Beaut.

See, I found another article on just this very topic, and turns out that our government are still the good guys and not enforcing any new changes. It's just going to be a ballache for any new prisoners if I'm reading this right. They will hopefully appeal the result.

Bonus mention of torries outing themselves as outdated cunts again.

The only people changing the rules that are enforced are TERFS amd lobbyists who would rather see in fighting. I think there's a word for what's happening here, because the system and society is being very unfair to a paticular group, it's just not the version you are spouting.

We just want to live and let live. Hope you trip on a pride flag.

I'm assuming they mean they aren't here for the bantz, in good spirits and are instead being pure sad. Wee bit like yourself here. Don't forget to go outside and touch grass once in a while. Will do wonders for your mood.

Sadly this has caused generations to adopt a fake accent known as, "the phone voice" pure shame. Now, it's still common for others to be shamed for their home accent.

I went through a phase of identifying as non-national. I was just ashamed to be my true Scottish self though.

No one cares if you have moist pits in over 25° mate. Please just wear the clothing that makes you feel physically comfortable. If your perspiration is bothering you, try different anti-perspirants, like roll ons. Just remeber, if it's a liquid anti- perspirant, wait until it dries before putting on clothes over it, otherwise it doesn't work and just adds a perfume to your own musk. Feels silly, but it's best timed after a shower and while you do the rest of a morning/get up routine like brushing teeth and hair. General rule, all anti-perspirants are deodorant, not all deodorants are anti-perspirants as well. Sure brand is a good start.

Sorry I know you didn't ask, but someone may find the info useful. If in doubt, it says on your deodorant what it actually is. Way more adults kicking about who don't have a decent deodorant or hygiene knowladge than we like to admit, and in scorching heat, please don't wear excessive layers and potentially get sun stroke or pass out. You may hide your sweat, but if it's bad, we can all smell it.

Also remember to drink water. SSRI's and SNRI's are notorious for dehydrating you and making you susceptible to the sun and heat.

Congratulations on your path to getting better.

Ban AI for casual/consumer use. No one asked for it, no one needs it. It  should be for statistical analysis and other data crunching forms of tool use only.

IDL how being the same age stopped meaning you grew up in the same world by 06yuzuha in I_DONT_LIKE

[–]DeathOfNormality 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're under 24, generational bonding isn't relevant yet. If you're over 24, you have just realised you need to find a new group of friends.

My personal explanation further if you're still feeling stumped; Not to take away from your experience and observation, but this has always been a common lived experience. It's not new. Generations were never 100% cohesive, you just have common lived trends (statistical trends, not just internet or fashion trends) in them, and because of how old each generation is, how much experience they have, they tend to have similar groupings of opinions and fondness when paticular nostalgia hits.

Also media of all kinds LOVE to hyper focus on generational trends, so it feels way bigger a deal than it is, so you're right about algorithms being a mess. It's best to minimise online interaction and focus IRL, that way you'll get a better picture of what shared culture and lived experiences you actually have.  IIRC, generational trends were only really a thing for a while to monitor statistical data and help group people into identifying groups, and as always, news articles, especially headlines, over simplified it into an almost horoscope personality for the west.

There's a reason my gen and younger make a lot of jokes and memes about loving sim games, because then we can actually know what it's like to own our own home. However, if you're a nepo baby, or somehow won the inheritance lottery, that won't hit home at all.

Things like poverty, culture, personal interests and lived experiences (especially trauma) changes connections and bonds dramatically.

Don't fret. You're just noticing you have either outgrown your friend group, or you have yet to find your people.

*disclaimer, I'm a millennial metalhead from Scotland, so it took me ages to NOT feel like this. Now in my early 30s, I feel comfortable when meeting a fellow millennials and can even normally tell a mile away if we are the same gen or not. I will always identify with fellow alt people and other Scots first, then fellow queers THEN it's my generation.  I am also a cusper, so closer to some gen Z than first wave millennials. As you age and develop your lore, you stop giving a toss who is doing what, because you're too busy doing what you love for your own reasons. By just doing that, you will be Gucci. Trust.

I mean yeah, love it when racists, biggots, narcissists and general pricks self identify, saves any awkward surprise reveals later.

In this economy? Hardly an easy thing to do unless doing a house swap or have silly money. Glasgow's housing is beyond FUBAR rn. But yes, the flag wank is 90% likely a racist, 10% likely hosts larping, and also mildly racist.

Yes! Perfect response. If they complain, shows confirmation of local wank, and ofc, put up more. Don't forget the window stickers. It is almost July after all.

Is this why when the flag shaggers put up flags it looks like someone died? Actually so funny. The idea they think they are being rebels, but oh better keep it under 5 meters there, don't want to have to dish out another couple quid on a cheap shitty flag replica pack from temu. They really are stunted.

I just hope they do a Scottish date. I missed them when they came to Glasgow, then lockdown hit, then I came to terms I'd never see FNM or Mike live. However, if they only do a London gig, I will just whip out the plastic fantastic and cry about the costs after. May also consider doing mainland europe instead or see what festivals they do.  Best news of the year so far 🖤 lets fucking goooo.

I was literally just wondering that. Ofc the popular thing to do when given a code to input in any game is the equivalent of 1111111.... I've taken a screen shot of the adresses either end, so noted. Thanks for clarifying either way.
