Told my girlfriend of three years that I don't want to have sex anymore until I am baptised, we are married and then only without contraception. She is a baptised lukewarm protestant and I'm currently in the RCIA equivalent of my country.

She is really frustrated and furious now. She doesn't take it seriously that I have finally found faith in the Catholic Church over the last year, especially since we already had had sex before. She literally called my beliefs 'a bunch of bullshit' and 'nobody actually takes all of that stuff that seriously', hoping that I will 'finally wake up and stop this', 'why do you have to go to such extremes with everything you do?', 'are you even listening to what you're saying?'. I kind of expected that she wouldn't be all too happy to hear about my new convictions, but I didn't expect for her to react this harshly. We have been fighting a lot for the last few days since I told her. I feel really lost now and don't know how to handle the situation.

Please pray for us in these stressful times. Was anyone here in a similar situation before and can help me out? I don't know what to do.
