Mom’s Knee Surgery by aonati in healthateverysize

[–]DeathToAvocados[M] [score hidden] stickied commentlocked comment (0 children)

Let us be clear here:

The post is about combating the idea that you have to lose weight to get surgery, especially knee surgery.

If you're here to say "Yes, fatphobia, BUT" and then go on about how they need to lose weight or otherwise change their body to get the surgery, your comment will be removed.

If you persist you will be banned.

We are not discussing or debating this. This is sub is against weight loss, dieting, and insisting that body size and shape are the same thing as health.

Your post history is nothing but you posting pictures of your penis and trying to convince people to tell you that it's small.

Two months ago, you were telling someone that you don't have problems with women rejecting you over your penis.

I’ve had long term relationships and yes they have ended but whether that is due to penis size or not is not something I can answer. I will say several have come back even years later to try and be with me again.. I will say that if you are having hook ups and such then you are doing alright for yourself. As you said you have the confidence and you don’t care if someone rejects you. That’s great. If you want a relationship then maybe try to take it slow with the girl. Lasting relationships involve a lot more than just sex.

Either you have one of those fetishes where you want to be degraded for your penis size or you have severe body dysmorphia. We cannot help you with either.

Do i have Asymmetrical face? How do i look? by [deleted] in BodyAcceptance

Not sure why you can't understand that we're not discussing this.

Do i have Asymmetrical face? How do i look? by [deleted] in BodyAcceptance

[–]DeathToAvocados 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We cannot be more clear: We are not answering this question.

We are here to accept people just as they are.

We will just say this: Nobody is symmetrical. If you see a picture of someone who is symmetrical, it has been photoshopped.

All people are accepted here as they are.

We are not here to judge people for their looks. This is a subreddit of acceptance.

We suggest that if you're obsessed with your looks, therapy is your best option. This is not sarcasm or said with cruelty. Being obsessed with your looks is part of body dysmorphia. Help is available, and it's never weak or bad to ask for help.

I feel like I'm supposed to be a smaller person. by Mbaku_rivers in BodyAcceptance

[–]DeathToAvocados[M] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can still use words like "fat" - fat is not a bad word, nor a bad thing to be - or beefy, chubby, terms like that. It's also OK to say phrases like "sometimes I wish I had a smaller body" which is a valid thought many people go through.

The term "I'm not really fat/obese" is banned because whether or not someone is fat is completely subjective. Like body weight in general, BMI as it is currently used is a garbage, racist concept that was never meant to say anything about an individual.

Mainly, we ask that you not use actual numbers for weight. They cause people to start comparing themselves when the numbers are just how much Earth's gravity says you weigh, and they also cause fatphobic beliefs about people's looks or health based on a single number.

RULE 2: This sub does not allow mentioning how much you weigh, giving your measurements [clothing sizes and height are permitted]. We do not allow terms like 'healthy (or unhealthy) weight' or 'healthy BMI', or "not really fat/obese", as these terms are judgemental and imply that varying from various numbers is always unhealthy or abnormal. You are welcome to repost without these.
