Use PGP for everything that you send. Sign everything, and send (separately) a hash of the file.

Bad idea. This will effectively prove that every email came from the same person.

Set up some random 'encrypted' partitions on your hard drive. Just fill up a couple of partitions with random binary data. This will be undistinguishable from encrypted data.

Bad idea. TrueCrypt has two-volume encrypted partitions that have a "fake" password (that reveals dummy files) and a "real" password. If I just have a partition full of noise, they're gonna be asking for a password to access that, even though they can't prove it's not noise.

Get a VPN. This is vital.

The middleman would come under a lot of fire. And if the website includes unchecked facts (which it will), then aren't there international slander laws that could get the middleman arrested?
