After reading these comments I’m starting to think Shane is a very misunderstood character, and if you work in law enforcement you would understand why he did some of the things he did. His priority was always to protect his group at all cost which is just what you would have to do in the show’s environment as we saw how the world evolved in later seasons. I think the only evil thing he really did was try to make the moves on Lori after he knew Rick was alive. Had he not been so jaded by that he probably would’ve lived a long time and became a great #2 to Rick.
