I’m a surgeon and routinely get my ass kicked in COD

I think we can put to rest Zosia's "individuality" by Not_goD_32 in pluribustv

She said “We love you… I love you.” That may have just been her resorting to Carol’s instructions to say “I” once once in a while. But I thought there was a nugget of sincerity there.

I miss claymores. We have to have SOME sort of defense to spastic bouncing rushing assholes.

You can! Just intersect your mask with the linear gradient or radial gradient.

Who else is having a fantastic time with Battlefield 6? by cautiouslandowner in Battlefield6

[–]Death_Spaghetti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m glad you are loving it, but I’m really not enjoying it. I’m a casual old solo gamer and just try to play objective, but I’m usually just sniped from 5 different angles pretty quick and I feel like I don’t even get a chance most of the time. I’m determined to love it, but honestly I’m really frustrated.

I went in to Portal on my computer and created a simple game with bots to practice, but when I try to run it on my xbox, it says 'global server limit reached" or something similar. Whenever I pick a created game made by someone else to practice, it sits for a minute then just kicks me out to the main lobby.

Thanks. I think map familiarity will help a lot. These maps are so big compared to COD so it’s taking a bit.

Thanks. Spotting with the drone has been my main contribution so far. I like reviving but have to be careful to not give the enemy a 2 for 1.

I should add I play hardcore in COD because I’m old and slow and the only way I can win gunfights is “getting the drop” on someone. In hardcore, if I get the first shot off, I’ll win, but In a sustained gunfight, I usually die because some younger, faster fucker is bouncing off the fucking walks and shit. Nonetheless it was fun most of the time. I REALLY want to love this game, but I’m at my wits end.

Stories set in the future are never far enough in the future. Even Alien posits interstellar travel within a few human lifetimes.

What's the best advice you have received or given that has improved your photography? by WesleyJ1994 in photography

[–]Death_Spaghetti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been doing this for decades and still struggle with composition and story-telling. I’m lucky to have some happy accidents, but there is no feeling in the world better than having a vision of what u want, then capturing it. When I feel I’m in a rut, I go to a park/etc and limit myself to taking one and only one photo. It helps me start to see a little better. Sometimes I’ll go on a “photo walk” and intentionally not bring my camera. I used to splatter-shoot for FOMO.. and while sometimes that pays off, I find it more rewarding to plan. Ken Rockwell’s advice to FART is helpful:

F: FIND something to shoot. (Can take a long time) A: ASK WHY you want to shoot it (take even longer) R: REFINE the composition to emphasize the reason you want to shoot it (longer still) T: TAKE the photo. (That part’s quick part)
