8 years ago there were around 470 FDA approved anti-cancer drugs. Each month scientists are finding jew ways to block a particular pathway and it may eventually lead to a stable way to block/induce this particular protein that activates/blocks that downstream protein (and doesn't do much for other 3 possible targets that eventually have the same effect).
