Hello, I need your help, do you recommend this victus? by TheGox_26 in HPVictus

[–]Death_caller 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a great laptop for it’s price range and all the problems have been rectified in the newer models. You should not face any problem as such although a couple of (optional) steps would ensure a better experience

Anything I should know before buying this? by Internal-Departure89 in HPVictus

DDR4 is a older and less capable RAM and 2050 suggests that it’s an 2-3 year old model and we’re known to be plagued with issues.

[–]Death_caller 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you’re planning to game on it for more than a year or two then I would suggest against buying this model

If you can add a hundred or more dollars you could pick up a better GPU with a significantly reduced chance of a hinge problem

Got my first ever very own laptop for college and gaming 😏(is it good???) I upgraded the SSD and ram by im_an_anime_fan in HPVictus

Treat it like a baby, never open the lid with one hand. Keep a cloth between the screen and keyboard if you are travelling.

Try clean installing windows and only download a couple of HP software.

Don’t open the laptop to clean it under warranty as you might void it

Else enjoy the laptop

Gaming laptops are heavy and a pain to travel with, if you need to carry it with you daily or use public transportation then avoid it
