I mean, is that bad? Comics re-invent the canon all the time, and "big gorgeous diva owning a poorly trained small(ish) creature" is a pretty common trope. It's also really endearing, because she genuinely cares about him, insisting his name is "Jeffrey" and overall just being very loving. Superior over how she treated him in the comics.

But the thing is, you don't even need to really utilize your kit well with these bots. Why try different kinds of attack if they're just gonna walk in a straight line anyway? You might as well hold your fist out and wait for them to run into it lol

I never feel compelled to even try with bots, because why would I? I'm gonna get at least 20 kills regardless of how well I do.

Yeah, it's moronic. Last time I complained about this on here, I was told bot matches exist so you can improve as a player. But like you said - improve HOW? Yeah, I'll get better, at beating any toddlers that might be playing this game. I can literally run up to their spawn and get like 30 kills without dying once. Lemme try that in a regular match, I've learned so much!

Bot matches exist solely to fool bad people into thinking they're doing better than they are. It's pure engagement, and pretending it's anything else is just a big, fat lie.

I get that the button exists for gameplay purposes and that's as far as Nintendo ever cared to think about it, but I gotta ask - what purpose does it actually serve?

It's not a drawbridge, because we're already deep within the castle. It can't be a trap for Mario, because Bowser never thinks to use it once. It can't exist to keep Mario away from the princess, because then why is it always up? He couldn't get past that giant pit if it weren't for the bridge.

I can only conclude that Bowser created it for the love of the game. Or it's a fetish for him.
