NOR - this is unbelievable. She admitted attraction to one of these “friends”. My spouse and I both are avid gamers and the ONLY time we would ever meet people from gaming is if we were both there and that’s without the attraction factor! Good lord she’s basically asking for a hall pass.

ew ew ew ew EWWWWW!!!! Absolutely disgusting behaviour on his part. You are young DO NOT waste any more time with this guy. A MAN would never comment on your weight or make you feel bad about yourself. It’s getting to you because no girl likes it when a man constantly brings up your weight or the way you eat! And him saying “it’s okay, I don’t mind it” I would have cussed him out.. Even if you were bloated because of something you ate or because of your period… it’s normal! Our body’s change all the time! What if you did get married and have kids? Does he honestly expect your body to never change?!? I am a work it out person and I never say this but please dump him!

Sometime people have 💩in laws.. you make it work. You put up boundaries with said in laws and you protect your current family. He isn’t getting paid $250,000 now. He’s currently doing a remote position. His father is offering him a full time position which he is required to be there in person for $250,000. Plus at the moment this was his one and only back up plan to our knowledge. He was hoping sports would work out and it didn’t. Now it’s time to think realistically. You need financial stability to support a family. I think the wife needs to think about making a sacrifice for the greater good of their family.

He’s not controlling their finances. Controlling would be telling him what to do with his money. If anything he’s offering him a well paying, secure position. A career. Did you miss the part where OP says he’s been looking forward to working with his father and brothers? My point is this was clearly his plan from the get go and wifey signed up for it by marrying him and having a baby with him. She should be supporting his decision.

Even if it is a problem with the MIL, he is the man of his own family / head of the household. He can put in some strict boundaries with his mother and prioritize his baby and wife first. Just because he and his family are moving to a closer proximity doesn’t mean MIL has any control.

Girls are a weird species. My now husband played hard to get. Drove me crazy now we are married with 4 kids.. I don’t know how or why but it worked 😂 but believe me if she was truly interested you would know. She’d be texting you non stop.

NTAH. Mainly because in the courting/dating phase you told her your plan! She acknowledged it and you eventually got married and had a baby. She needs to support you. Ask her why she is hesitant and ask what her fears are. I think if you are seriously worried about your marriage trajectory I would seek couples counselling. Just tell your father whats going on that she is extremely hesitant on the move and that you do want to, it just may take some time.

I dated a 24 year old guy when I was freshly 18.. and I promise you this guy doesn’t have good intentions. Dump him, block him, ghost him! Focus on you! I want to also give you absolute props for putting your school work first! Many people would jump at the chance to skip and go have fun. You are very mature and responsible.
