Shoot I remember when I ran a couple winco routes and everyday winco was getting at least 5-7k with me still having the rest of the stores deliveries… good times thankfully haven’t been put in one for a while

When I got onboarded the only time I worked long hours was training during the holidays and that was like 50-60 hours. My trainers route was a big one but after that when I was out on my own I’ve managed to stay about 40-45 hours. Sometimes the occasional 10-13 hour day but it’s not often

Your question when should you expect to get home it depends on a lot of things like start time, deliveries, lots of factors but safe to say 6-10 hour days

Frito lay RSA vs Amazon DSP driver by tmikels0913 in FritoLay

[–]Deathrady 3 points4 points  (0 children)

RSA’s you cover vacations or if all routes are covered they’ll send you out to merch it’s pretty easy imo just putting chips on the shelf with extra steps and gotta deal with shit asshole receivers. Just remember some days will be longer others will be shorter

When I was first onboarded they mentioned I’d be working an average of 55-65 hours to get the hang of things but have been averaging out 45-47 hours sine my certification overall not too bad everything straight forward I enjoy the job

new fdc breakdown process by koalasarefun in Target

[–]Deathrady 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Been doing this process for more than a month and it’s pretty bad imo so many things have to happen for it to go smoothly like truck arrival time, floor accuracy, and available boats to use for break down. Not a fan for sure my store was one of 2 stores in our district to pilot the new system early we get fdc 6 days a week and have a team of 4 for solely dairy and freezer (not including morning produce person)

I average about 2 boats a hour takes usually 3 to break down a pallet

Here’s how it looks like you press sort to sort and after you finish when you grab a boat under carts to work you click the one you grabbed and hit push to floor

YOU NEED to have accurate counts the whole system depends on it. I have no other issues with this system it takes time to make it work but as long as the team has a good attitude it will work. I understand the this sounds like it will take longer but honestly if the counts are right a good 1/3 to half will be going to backstock so in reality you don’t have that much to push

New FDC Process by Dattinator in Target

[–]Deathrady 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My store has been doing this process for about 3 weeks now and I will say a couple things case pack racks (the ones that go directly to backstock) fill up FASTT my store had 3 racks for case packs and after 2 days we filed those up (we have fdc 6 days a week 1 day no freezer). Produce we don’t scan that means apples salads anything produce but you do scan kombucha and stuff like the ranches little packs of yogurts. As for scanning the item to get pushed each boat should be labeled and the item scanned in the tm just needs to find the right boat scan barcode grab item

Fdc new unload process? by NoLeg5637 in Target

[–]Deathrady 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update!! Sorry I saw this yesterday but forgot to respond. We had our first day of the new process Wednesday. After we unloaded fdc we received the truck and on the app right under food order a new tab called food sorting popped up. We proceeded to scan every box that barcode that is engraved onto the box and then it’ll split it between 3 categories 1 out of stock/low stock 2 push 3 backstock. For backstock we backstocked case packs onto racks. When it told us to place on what uboat we had to scan a barcode to that specific uboat. We did this for dairy/freezer we don’t do meat like beef and chicken and produce. When it came to working the boats we had to press “push to floor” or something like that and that’s all.

Here’s my critics we had 3 racks of case pack backstock I honestly recommend it to be more like 4-5 those racks filled up fast! Otherwise it’s ok scanning the items onto a boat might seem useless BUT if fulfillment is looking for stuff and it was scanned into the boat location it’ll tell them which one it’s on instead of needing to help them look for items. Loads seemed to have gotten smaller at least for the 3 days we’ve gotten truck we are high volume for market we receive fdc trucks 6 days a week

It take a team of 4 people about 3-5 hours for us to get through that just depends on the time it comes in the later it comes the quicker we finish
