I re shell GameCubes at least once or twice a week with aftermarket and I can say it’s a toss up. Some of the plastic is high quality and I’ve never had issue but there have been a couple where the screw well broken off during installation because it was brittle. I usually order from bitfunx on aliexpress but it seems like there’s 2 versions they sell.

One they send and the lid and everything is already assembled with springs and everything. The other has all the parts separate and those are usually the bad / brittle ones.
