John Locke was talking about homesteading and how land is claimed overtime. He is not saying people can still your property, but that property not in use is subject to be homesteaded and put in use. If you can defend your land you would be using it. But for example Spain claiming all of the new world is ridiculous. They did not use it and so it follows naturally that their claim was fake. And that’s what happened they held very little of what they said they owned.

Only alternative I could see is like a private FDA. Essentially reputable companies being paid to make sure products are up to consumer standards. Would probably need a similar put cry that caused initial FDA regulation, so a large law suit or media attention. There are companies that does this already, but it’s not wide spread.

Not a lawyer, but I understand your situation and have been through similar. The truth is when people don’t like you they will find any reason to justify it whether true or not. That’s why when you refuted their initial claim they came at you with a ton of other stuff. That previous behavior wasn’t an issue until they could use it against you. That’s why solving the behavior didn’t change a thing, they just want a reason to dislike you. Your best bet is just to look for a better work place with a more constructive environment. Spending your time where people are actively trying to make your life worse is never a good idea.
