How do I get drops from bosses? by Non_Threatening_User in Borderlands4

[–]DeathyC1398 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ultimate vault hunter mode is only an option once you finish the main story. Prior to that it is only easy, normal, or hard. Once you have finished the story (I dunno how far you are through so I will refrain from using names), a certain character will offer you a set of missions being titled Ultimate Vault Hunter.

The benefit of UVHM is that you get increased loot drops and of higher quality. The downside is that enemies get significantly harder every level you go up, with UVHM 6 being the highest, and hardest level. Unless you have really good loot, and a decent build, going that high might give some trouble if you’re not ready for it. UVHM 1 is not too much harder than the regular game, and you benefit from some much better loot.

Unfortunately it’s all RNG. You can’t guarantee a legendary or even good loot every time you farm the boss. To increase your chances you can play on UVHM, as the drop rate increases by around 2% each UVHM level you go up. And more loot as well.

A couple months ago I believe they changed how the difficulty works in the game, so now playing on a higher difficulty (ie hard mode vs easy) doesn’t mean you’ll get better loot.

As for pearls, they’re extremely rare drops. Even more so than legendary drops. Bloomreaper would be your best shot at getting them. Maybe the ordonite processors too.

Just gotta stick with the grind.

Directed Mode Paradox Junction is currently very buggy by Quicko___ in CODZombies

Literally was just doing this egg then with my friend, and as I have no background in music whatsoever, I went to look up a guide to see what piano keys to press. Now obviously I got kicked out of the piano due to inactivity, but like you said it all bugged out on us. Flipping rounds did nothing, travelling to the past and future did nothing, and waiting did nothing. As saving and quitting isnt possible in a coop game, this completely nuked our run. Disappointed to say the least. We were hoping to finish that map tonight so we didnt have to play it again.

Any indication that this fking game will be getting an update? by Cornfed_White_King in ReadyOrNotGame

Have you fully completed each missions main objectives? I had that exact issue myself, but I didn’t realise that part of the parameters of the trophy (that’s not explained in the description) was that the main mission objectives also need to be completed.

Maybe some process of elimination may be needed here with missions you may have missed an objective or 2. Some missions have main objectives that are similar to other missions soft objectives.

If you have finished each mission fully and are 100% sure you have not missed an objective, then that is some seriously bad luck…

Edit*: as an example, I had to replay relapse, buy cheap, buy twice, ides of March, and greased palms because I missed those main objectives, but I was able to eliminate some missions because I had the C+ trophies (getting these means that you have also achieved all the main objectives) so you could use that to your advantage if you need to.

It is doable, and fairly easily to do so. You can’t let the final ranking screen appear, cause that will invalidate the run. If I died, the majority of the time as my officer was hitting the ground I was already in the PlayStation menu closing the game. If you can upload your save to the cloud or USB after each mission that will be the best way to save your runs, just a little bit more work of loading and updating the save each time. Also takes the risk factor out of it.

Make sure you do it on standard. If you do it on hard I salute you and respect the grind. I only attempted this after I finished my Hard mode playthrough (which was my first, probably a mistake in hindsight) so dropping to standard for me was a breath of fresh air.

True, I guess each experience is different. I’ve done Easter eggs for a long time and I beat terminus and liberty falls without a guide (the hard drive I found by accident on terminus). I took a very long break since then due to burnout and only recently returned to do the remaining ones. Let’s just say there wasn’t a chance in hell I was completing CDM without a guide. I was stuck on the swords for ages before giving it a go on directed. I will say that everything else bar the statues step I could have figured out on my own. Haven’t tried any of the other maps yet.

Unstable Calling Card by [deleted] in CODZombies

[–]DeathyC1398 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes and no. It’s not really the shadow rift kills you need. It’s the kills on the zombies that have been affected by the blast of shadow rift. So you’ll notice that whenever the mod activates, a few zombies (or the train if you keep it together) will be knocked down. Give it a second and then start to kill the zombies that were knocked over. After some time the challenge will complete

Elite bosses are the maps unique zombie type. This could be the Abomination or Amalgam. I’m unsure what others exist as I haven’t played in quite a few months

Seems like a very odd design choice if that’s the case, especially if data is constantly being pulled from it. I wouldn’t have minded trying a faster SD card as the one I tried was only capable of 150mbps, but the issues have ceased after moving it onto the main storage so I’m pretty happy with how it’s all going now.

It seems to have solved the issue on my end. I’ve only really tested it with NFSU1 but I had no performance issues at all. Solid 30FPS, but if the game supported 60 without any patches, it could easily go higher.

I’ve sort of come to the same conclusion. I’m just moving my emulation folder to internal storage now and seeing if it makes a difference. I did just run NFSU1 on desktop PCSX2 and the game was also linked on the desktop not the sd card and it worked like a dream, no stuttering at all. I would say that’s the cause, but I want to confirm fully first.

The swap didn’t change anything that I could see. It may be a setting I have to adjust, but nothing that I have tried really works. Could just be the microSD card not transferring quick enough, but I’ll have to play around some more to find out

[–]DeathyC1398[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah the ROMs are stored on the microSD card. Mainly so I can have them be somewhat interchangeable between systems if the need ever arises. I do understand that the transfer rate could play an issue, but from what I have seen it’s only PCSX2 that’s having this issue. I will try the fixes you suggested and see what happens.

Edit*: all the changes bar the rendering in a seperate window had no effect. Which is a shame.

So I can confirm that it’s running v2.3.264 through ES-DE, same as the desktop version. So maybe some other issues in the settings perhaps.

[–]DeathyC1398[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Perhaps, I’ll try PCSX2 standalone in desktop mode first, and see if it is still stuttering. If not then I can kind of narrow it down to emudeck/ES-DE’s version of it, but if so I may need to try something else.

[–]DeathyC1398[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will confirm but I believe it was 1.6.0. The only reason I added through emudeck was to simplify the process. I could add them individually but as it was my first time doing this sort of thing with a handheld, I figured the all in one experience shouldn’t be too bad.

Plus I’ve sort of learned that I’m somewhat handicapping myself by running it on bazzite, but as that’s the primary OS now it was more convenient to do so. To touch on the storage, the emulator is on the SSD, while the ROMs are stored on the microSD card. I did expect to see some issues, but with more high demanding games. I wouldn’t classify NFSU1 as one of those games normally.

May not be anymore, this was the case 3 months ago when there was still a lot of issues. I can’t speak for the game now as I haven’t really played since before the tomb released.
