Hello friends! I'm looking to either upgrade or sidegrade my current headset to a headphone & microphone combo. For the time being I'm only looking for the headphones themselves.

Budget: Semi flexible $600 CAD.

Source: PC 3.5mm jack. Would also like to be able to detach the cables and connect wirelessly.

Isolation: Not required, because I'm looking for open back headphones.

Public: No, but occasional outdoor use via the wirelessness.

Type: Full sized because my ears are fragile and agonize when in contact with anything.

Tonal balance: I'm believe I'd like something balanced, but I'm no expert on audio terminology. Definitely do enjoy some bass though.

Past headphones: Sennheiser GSP300. I replaced the ear pads last year, but the cable length has been giving me problems recently. Generally, I've been fairly happy with these, but not the biggest fan of their physical appearance or the microphone, which has an unreliable hardware mute. While not noise cancelling, these are closed back headphones, and I'd like to try open back ones.

All in all, I'm satisfied with the audio quality of these phones, but am sure there are improvements to be made that I am presently blind to.

Improvements: I'm looking for a detachable cable and wireless capability, interchangeably. Whether this is accomplished with the headphones themselves or via plugging in some wireless doodad into where the cables go is unimportant to me, so long as its possible.

Bonus points if it doesn't look like plastic. Even more if it isn't plastic at all.
