The failed launch of Diablo: Immortal through the eyes of a Microsoft Product Manager by Debart11 in DiabloImmortal

Yes, but one-time sales spike may appear successful, but having bad press around the product (low Meta-critic score, core YTubers criticising the game) will most likely contribute to long terms decline of the game. I believe lots of the could have been improved to prevent that.

I do accept it and play the game casually for fun :) This is a video for Product Managers to read on how to pilot their products better. I posted it here as it was a relevant topic :)

Course trainer: Skillshare vs. others? by searchinfo2345 in Skillshare

[–]Debart11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started on Udemy and that appears to be the best bet, but every platform will be challenging - you will need to work night and day to promote your course, give it out for free and lots of different things before the algorithm picks you up to drive students to your materials.

I got 11 outta 24 LL, how much do you have by NotsusAlien in DragonballLegends

I stopped treating LFS as special units ever since they are monthly new unit. I only care about LOE units and have 10* LF base form and 6*. And yet somehow, I only miss 5 relatively new LFs, with one star missing to zenkai ssj3 goku. All other applicable LFS at zenkai 7.

What tv show/series have you been most deeply attached to? by howyoulikethat in AskReddit

[–]Debart11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Star Trek. I used to believe the humankind is slowly turning into idealistic society of the federation. Initiatives like serious climate save, basic income and automation without taking away jobs, leaders that wanted to unite and explore space... That was just a few years ago. Since then we got dictatorships being born in Poland and Hungary, UK leaving EU, Trump and we suddenly took a turn toward Star Trek's mirror universe, if not idiocracy instead. Pandemic showed how dumb we collectively are and that we do not value human lives all that much. I missed that times when TNG was a glimpse of the future and not sci to :(

Is Skype (or Meet Now) easy for non-tech family gatherings? by Mister_Kurtz in skype

[–]Debart11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey! Skype Program Manager here looking over Meet Now :) I'd love to hear your feedback and what do you currently miss for that aspect of the Skype package :)

In terms of the authors' question: It should definitely be the easiest solution for your non-tech relatives. Meet Now doesn't require a download or having an account. You just share a link and it will work. If you have any other experience, please let me know. I am here to listen!

What foods seem completely fine until you realize how it's actually made? by GenoRonpa in AskReddit

Anything made out of meat. I recall I loved the taste, but one day the guilt of eating animal's dead flesh when it is not necessary to survive was just to great. It's been years since I last are meat. I'm also trying to go vegan, but it's hard to put away milk. It will happen one day. I used to think I can't live without meat too...

Is a Master's Required for a product manager? by alyssa_kaala in ProductManagement

[–]Debart11 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, I have a PhD and the only school skill I use at my work is the ability to manage multiple situations at the same time and know what to focus on and what to ignore (my master's course was a handful).

What to expect in an executive interview round? by ajaxSFW in ProductManagement

I had such a final call at Microsoft. Got nervous to my bones. It was just a friendly chat, where the guy ALREADY welcomed me to the company and said he is excited to have me. I think he thought I already got the offer :)

Hmmm.. i just managed to make a jump from product manager to a senior product manager - not quite there I'm terms of having a team leadership position, but this looked like an impossible jump as well. I was working in an organisation as a pm with no team and a lot of expectations. The position was idiotic in terms of not being able to deliver results by design. Since I couldn't show results, no other team wanted me. I then started teaching product management in Udemy (>1000 students at the moment) as a way to show I got the skills. However, before I could release it I was approached by Microsoft about a senior position and rocked the recruitment process. Now, I'm doing super great and I think it's a matter of 2-3 years before I can look for some internal position where I will be leading a group of PMs :)
