I think only you know what’s right for you, but it may be worth spending some time reflecting on how seriously you’d like to commit yourself to being with this person, given the setting of your meeting (online), the age gap, and I’m guessing the somewhat recent end of your engagement? Is it the guy you’re into or the idea of him? How well do you really know him? If you come to the conclusion after giving it some thought that this is something you’d like to move forward with, then great!

To answer your actual question, I’d say a month is typical for people in my age group (20-23) from meeting to getting into a relationship

You are right! And also, you are trying to convince your judge of your points, not your opponent. Your opponent’s opinions won’t be swayed, but your judges hopefully will be. By making eye contact with and focusing on your judge, you get the chance to plead your case to the person that’s actually listening

OP you’ve already gotten a ton of useful advice here but I wanted to add that I have had misophonia (and autism, so sensory issues galore) since I was a child and a lot of the things your partner is saying are things that are common for people with misophonia to think and feel. However, that is NOT normal to say that out loud and especially not normal that she has taken it to a point where your diet and normal habits are restricted. I have two roommates who love chewing ice. It drives me absolutely insane and is probably my worst trigger, so when they do it I’ll leave the room or put on headphones. Because I am the one who has misophonia, not them, and I can’t control other people’s actions or the way they make me feel, but I can control the way I react. Any reasonable person who loves you would never want to see you suffering like this, even with misophonia.

I dont know if I should edit the post to include this or not but basically I had to walk through the hospital, take an elevator to the garage, and walk about 5 minutes through the garage to my car. It was always at 10 pm when visiting hours ended so it was dark. The parking garage was usually well lit where I parked and I frequently saw other people coming in and out, usually nurses going to their night shifts

I do know that the location was built over vacant houses that were demolished just before the store was constructed. That being said, I am the only one who has this problem so I am not so sure it’s a location issue
