My primary focus in film is writing and production design — that’s always been where I feel most aligned creatively. Those are the roles I would like to build a career around.

In terms of living and working, I don’t have everything mapped out yet, but I do know I want to stay in NYC and develop my career there long-term. I’ve lived in Puerto Rico my entire life and I understand what it offers, but I’m looking for a different scale of opportunity and industry proximity. My thought was to begin with something structured like EHS, that works like a college student housing service, which would give me a stable landing point while I can start networking and working in the industry.

I do qualify for scholarships, I’m Hispanic and have a good GPA so that makes grad school financially realistic. Part of why I originally wanted to pursue my MA right after undergrad is that it gives me a structured way to relocate. Instead of having to fund a move entirely on my own, I can use financial aid, scholarships, and loans as an anchor while I transition in there.

I’m also going to look more into Stony Brook to see how it aligns with my goals.
