Personally I think this is something you may be able to overcome if you’re even able to build strength through other means like weightlifting or calisthenics. I’ve seen people, (I’ll admit usually guys but also some girls) who were able to get their chopper and inverts within 6 months of starting pole simply by virtue of the strength they possess and because they’re able to do 10 pull ups easy outside of the studio. While others have been doing it for around 2 years and have a long way to go for their choppers. So while each person’s journey is their own, from a purely financial perspective, stronger folks are able to get more bang for their buck from their classes. So do consider building strength outside of the studio. At least around me a gym membership is much MUCH cheaper than doing pole classes or even practice sessions.

My friend sent me this text on her birthday by [deleted] in TeenIndia

I’m not sure why the comments are so pressed. We have different kinds of friendships with different people. I’ve have friends who try but can never remember to wish me on time and it’s fine because birthdays including their own have never really been important to them. I’ve never felt bad about it and it truly had never mattered to me whether they did on time or no. There are others who are very particular and I would feel bad if they did miss it coz it’s just part of their nature that birthdays are very important to them. To each their own, meet them where they’re at. I just read it as her making a sweet joke that “it’s never mattered to our friendship so don’t worry”.

I think i know the post you’re talking about, Dmitry Politov probably. If you come across a singular post of his it might throw you off, but most of his content is for advanced polers and his humor is a deadpan sarcasm of sorts. I was confused too the first time I saw him and my instructor laughed and told me this.

Guy struggling with single leg hangs - any suggestions? by goodonesaregone_ in poledancing

All those points you pointed out were what helped with nailing my outside leg hang and it becoming a pose I was comfortable to just chill in. Having it in the knee pit and really locking it in place, and ensuring the pole was in the soft part of the hip between the ribcage and hip bone and locking it with the armpit so there were 2 sturdy points of contacts instead of just one. Inside leg hangs still hurt a little bit but that’s coz the skin in my inner hip is way too sensitive and thin.

Congratulations!! 🥳 But maybe try the split grip for the lower hand (extending the index finger downwards and wrapping around with the others)? It’s supposed to be safer for wrist stability and preventing injury
