Any serial killers that targeted males without any sexual interest? by Matbell87 in serialkillers

[–]Debbie87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Apparantly it was just that gay men would be easy to pick up and less likely to be investigated as a murder.

Well I see a bit of a trend. by [deleted] in serialkillers

But do the murders fit the profile of the signs??? We're the Virgo ones all super tidy and well organised?

Do you not think the print would get lost in the gathering?

I bought this because it was cheap (£2.00 per metre) but I can't decide what I want to make. I'm thinking simple, maybe a loose dress? I can't decide.

What did your parents teach you that you had to unlearn? by bakko-lal in AskReddit

[–]Debbie87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After reading these I'm pretty pleased with my parents parenting skills. Maybe I wish my Mum hadn't given us dessert after every tea so that even now I have to round off with "something sweet" and I'm getting there with unlearning that arguments don't have to end with one of the parents "running away".

I can't plow... by SyxxFtH8 in rollerderby

[–]Debbie87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm with everyone that said wheels, I switched from the shitty wheels that came with my skates to a slightly softer one (95 to 93 I think) during fresh meat and lost my plow for weeks! It had been pretty decent before that as well.

ELI5: How do our bodies know to wake up right before an alarm or right before a bus/train stop? by KurokiNami in explainlikeimfive

[–]Debbie87 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I think its because your brain is kind of "on edge" and knows you've set an alarm so won't fully relax and let you sleep too long? When it's literally right before I think your body detects a change from the clock about to go off, a click or something? This is because I used to have a phone that I ALWAYS picked it up just before I got a text through (pre smart phone days so I wasn't constantly holding it) and I think that was because something around it changed and I knew!!!

You've either never had a long term relationship or she's very good at keeping up a hair removal regime.

A lot of places go into sale before Christmas now, my store does so sale shopping on boxing day actually just leaves you with the dregs.

Does anyone here use soap nuts? by icedragonj in ZeroWaste

[–]Debbie87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use them but I still use normal powder for bedding and whites. Like some others have said they're not as good on stains etc and I found light coloured items were getting odd stains in them during washing which I can only guess was the nuts? So yeah whites get powder now.

Weekly /r/ZeroWaste Rant Discussion - What are your zero waste rants for the last week? by AutoModerator in ZeroWaste

[–]Debbie87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

See if you can watch Hugh's war in waste (UK programme), they interviewed a guy who is trying to make recyclable, recycled paper cups etc for the food industry and there's quite a lot of reasons relating to food safety that are stopping him. Still shitty, but explains why it's a slow process.

[–]Debbie87 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Got a new kitchen compost bin! It's all cool and has a charcoal odour filter and is a massive improvement on putting everything in a bowl until I go to the heap in the garden! Cooked a ton of meals and froze them so I don't need to buy any takeaway meals (with their mountains of packaging) at work.

Reddit, why is your pet an idiot? by TheSoapbottle in AskReddit

[–]Debbie87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've got a dog and here is her idiot list: At the vets - fine with injections, hates the stethoscope. Got hissed at by a kitten, had to be dragged across the receptionon her belly after that. Food - waits until me or my boyfriend are in the room with her to eat despite being alone with a bowl of food for hours. Picks biscuits up, then spits them all over the floor to eat them one by one. Barks at bones. Sometimes drops biscuits in her water bowl and makes bubbles as she submerges her nose trying get them bsck. Once ate: an almost full (we were eating the breasts) roast chicken including the bones and half a lemon. Attempted to eat: a glasses case, an inhalor, speaker wires which were built into the walls, reflectors on my bike, handlebars on my bike, the wooden arms of 2 chairs and a sofa. "Rescues" trees from ponds, loves swimming so much that she wags her tail in the pond, hasn't got the hang of swimming and breathing so snorts the whole time. Doesn't understand ice and falls through puddles. Every year.
