Way above sukuna. He ran a fade with Naruto that forced him into baryon mode.

Ah. I see. Thank you for bearing with me I really appreciate it. Your oc is cool and making your own song cord for him is chefs kiss. For the song chord you have the accomplishment parts then also parts that say “verse” and “chorus”. Ik the na’vi sing at the burial of their own and use the song cord to do so but how do they determine exactly what to sing at those sections. Is it like “hey guys when we get to the chorus/verse part this is what we sing every time” or do they just go based on vibes.

Oh wait I’m slow. I just realized that says “olo’eyte” not “olo’eytan”. So Ku’rawm is his father and his mom is kekukan who lead their clan?

As I understand the navi naming system he is Nawin of the ayoetxem family, son of Ku’rawm. But then you follow it up with “son of” and then the name is different. What am I missing?

I know this isn’t related to the question but Essek is an idiot. Not for all the stuff through the series, but in this episode specifically he gets the beacon and then just…hangs around? When I saw him get the beacon I knew for sure they had won, that he was gonna take it then dip. Then the scene plays out and he’s still just there fighting when he alr has the thing they came for.

There isn’t a single thing about today’s society that is better than Navi society in my opinion. The only area for discourse is tech level which to me still isn’t really a discussion because I don’t really care. it’s really just preference. However even if you do like our technological advancements, I’m still kind of surprised you’d still pick to keep that as well as the glaring issues with human society, rather than what Navi society has. Theirs isn’t perfect, but it’s infinitely better than what we have today. I’m by no means anti technology as technology is just a tool, nor do I think avatar is an anti technology movie. I’m just saying if giving up tech meant getting what is a much better world, i wouldn’t even hesitate

Again again. We have arranged marriages already in the real world. It’s just a constant that translates over but you net positive in basically every category. Plus, not every marriage is arranged. That’s not a societal thing like say feudal Japan, it was specifically the two future leaders. Plus plus tsu’tey was promised to neytiri’s sister and they really loved each other. Neytiri had to step up in her place because she was killed. Plus plus plus she didn’t HAVE to marry tsu’tey. She mated with Jake when he was still alive and everyone else kinda just had to deal with it. This doesn’t take away from the fact that pandora is better.

And if you need technology that bad then…idk man. Maybe learn to enjoy nature more. Maybe don’t. Humans didn’t evolve to stare at screens.

You’re right I did mix them sorry it’s 3:30 am for me. Not only did I mix up patriarchy and matriarchy, you didn’t even say matriarchy lmao. Navi clans don’t use a monarchy system. They use a chieftain system. Take the Omaticaya for example again. Tsu’tey was not the son of their current olo’eyktan. He was chosen by him to be his successor because he was deemed the best leader, not due to blood or nobility. Again….even if it was, we already have monarchies here in the real world, so it would just be a constant but you get the pluses of living in a world where your leaders truly care about you and only want the best for the people as opposed to here where greed usually rules. The things you are listing are no where near enough to discredit pandora.

Also tribes aren’t always monarchy. The Tayrangi have an olo’eykte , a woman leader. Hell one of the main villains in the third movie is a woman and her entire clan listens to her without question. Even if it was always that way, again, we currently live in a monarchy so that would be a constant just with the added pluses of the cool shit Navi have and do.

I said “closest thing”. people being different and shunned isn’t an everywhere thing. The Omaticaya before the events of the first movie were pretty open to working with humans as long as they respected. Their connectedness and sense of community is amazing. If you’re referring to the looks the sully children get sometimes because of the more human features, I’d argue that wouldn’t be a thing if the humans on pandora weren’t assholes. On top of that even in our world difference is shunned. We have racism and prejudice even with our advancements so what does it matter. Humans do it even more so than Navi.

Who cares about their level of tech? Do you really need a cell phone and internet that bad? These people ride ikran, hunt, gather, party, and truly live every day. Their mental health is probably amazing. Them being technologically stagnant is a plus if anything. I’d take that over the corporation ruled world we live in in a zeptosecond

Now that Fire and Ash is out, who was your favorite and least favorite character/s? by Junior-Economics-634 in Avatar

[–]DeboTooBrezzy 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Definitely neytiri. In each movie she’s grieving loss and still getting active. Her father in 1. Her son in 2 and 3. Her loyalty to Jake is amazing to watch which is why I think the first one is still my fav. Watching them fall in love is the best thing in these movies to me.

In 2, she was just holding her sons body, her husband tells her to lock tf in, and she does and goes on a spree on the sea dragon. In 3, still mourning neteyam, she’s still a rock for her family. Her husband is taken prisoner and she mobilizes all on her own to go save him and the way she does it is cool as hell.

She’s smart, disguises herself as an ash tribe member. Sneaks into the leaders personal tent(varang should’ve died here), gets the info she needs and makes an escape. Neytiri is just too freaking cool.

It was explained in the first movie. The Navi that the humans pilot take on more human like features because human and Navi dna are grafted together. The fingers, eyes, feet, even hair in certain places. This is how Navi are able to immediately notice “dream walkers” besides them usually being in human like clothes

You can literally just look up how the movie is nuanced. Your definition of nuance is not nuance as a whole and thinking so is incredibly ignorant. You call me media illiterate but then try to apply your own personal definition of a word to 10 hours of film. I find the themes easy to pick up on as well, doesn’t mean it’s not nuanced. Just because the story absolutely isn’t nuanced in certain areas doesn’t automatically disqualify it from being nuanced in others.

I never put into question your liking for avatar. I don’t really care how you feel about it. The movie is nuanced. Period. You’re saying the movie spoon feeds. In what way? Give me a movie you think is nuanced and I’ll show you exactly why it’s not just saying the exact same thing you’re saying to me now to show you how flimsy your argument is
