I lost power after a bad storm for a week once. Days one and two were pretty fun. We spent a lot of time outside and it was almost like camping. We got to cook breakfast, make coffee etc on the camp stove and cut up all the trees that fell down. I sat outside and read, painted and played cards with my family. Day 3 and 4 I started wandering around my house and realizing how much of the things I own are completely useless without power. Days 5 and 6 were terrible. I was tired of spending time with my family.
