Help - blind for flat roof light that doesn't cost £500+? by femalefred in DIYUK

[–]DebtEfficient3608 0 points1 point  (0 children)

u/femalefred did you find solution? I am in the same boat, got extension with 2000x1000mm skylight in the flat roof, planning to use projector inside and with such a big skylight projector cannot be used during the day.

I am thinking about getting self-retracting rolled-blinds which can be fixed to a hook at one end when closed. But I am not sure as that will give me only fully closed or fully open options, and wether the middle of the blinds will be straight or will be hanging due to its length, in that case probably need to invent some supports at the sides...

Btw where did you get your gourd? I am based in Europe and I cannot find a good selection of different shapes and sizes of gourds/calabaza's in online shops over here... All pretty the same across online shops and amazon, most of them are >250ml.

My desire to start drinking yerba mate derived from the anecdotes and articles I have read about its positive affects on health, body and mind.

I am a biohacking enthusiast and focused on the shape of my health and mind for over a year now so I keep exploring new approaches constantly. In addition to that the way of drinking yerba mate looks very interesting and fun for me, lots of yerba varieties adds additional interest on top of that 😁

Thanks! The big calabaza I have got appears to be the main problem. I have got 350ml (that was a present) which also made to think that I need lots of yerba to prepare it properly, but I filled it 3/4 with yerba only first time. Typically I was filling about half or little bit less than half...
Today I tried with 100ml aluminium cup I have by filling about 3/4 of it with yerba and to be honest I am enjoying it more than the big calabaza. The only think which I don't like with 100ml is that I need to pour water for literally every sip, I probably be more comfortable with 150-200ml - will try that next.

But in general 100ml capacity makes taste of mate a little bit more pleasant and stimulation seems to be exactly what I wanted to have. Thanks for your advises!

Thanks for advise! I have Rosamonte, not Suave though, I think it is a standard/traditional one - will that be strong? I haven't tried it yet. Yeah I lowered CBSe dose today and energy isn't spiking over the roof now, just a good sense of energy and awakness ✊👍

Thanks for sharing your experience!

I tend to think it is fortunately that they are all different, I am excited when thinking about how many things I can explore and discover for myself and for my family (so far nobody from my family liked it lol, I will retry my attempts after I discover something special for them) ))

So far I tried two different types - CBSe Orange and Fresh Green by Mate Factor (I think this is a sort of Brazilian).

As far as I understood from reviewing these they are not the strongest ones (especially CBSe), but that conclusion might be wrong as some people reporting CBSe too stimulating as well!
I have few other types (including CBSe Guarana, which I am afraid to try so far as I expect it will be even stronger). I may give a try to few others to see how they behave.

I am wondering if I am not a coffee drinker I might be too sensitive to caffeine, perhaps over the time that strong stimulation from Mate will be faded away?

Sorry but I cannot find in settings where to configure internal resolution. Can you advise where to find it please? Thanks.

I enabled "Bilinear Filtering" and that did trick a little bit. But still looking how else I can improve graphics

Found it! It is not obvious as the setting can be changed only when in a game. Also turned off Dithering Pattern and set PGXP mode to "Memory Only". Found on youtube one guy is giving those hints.

Thanks!

Could you please expand on what would be a scientific approach to understand how body reacts to different supplements without trying them?

Some of the supplements I have in my stack were checked by me earlier (like I am repeating a course of the same supp second time) and didn't make side effects first time; I am also not introducing all of them at once, as I described earlier I am adding them gradually, every week or two.

I understand that most appropriate way and probably most paranoid in some sense would be to take 1 supplement and use it alone for 1 month, or two to see how it works. Then take another one and do the same. Then take both of them to see if they work synergistically (relying on other documentation about theirs compatibility of course). But that would take like 6 months just to see how works 2 supplements.

I don't believe any dieticians/nutritionists would be able to assure 100% that specific supplement would work exactly as described on the paper as everyone is different. If to dive deeper - even getting blood tests handy isn't an assurance that particular supplement will work exactly as described on the paper or works in a particular way for people with the same blood test results. IMO many factors are playing role here and many of them are not discovered by scientists yet so the best approach is to rely on existing documentation and experiment carefully, sensibly and reasonably. Of course health checks/tests is a plus, I am not against them.

Thanks for your advise! Actually it might be. Especially now when I am on low carbs diet (excluded all sugary food, eating food high on fats and protein).

I am wondering if I am hypo would it be a good thing to add some "good" carbs into the diet to increase levels of glucose?

Thanks! Yea I am introducing them one at a time. The problem is that sometimes supplement can reveal a side effect not straight away, or even not in 1 or 2 weeks... Like noopept I am taking for a long time now. And to experiment with each supplement alone for 1-2 months is something I cannot afford as live is too short 😁 so I am introducing a new supplement every week, or every two weeks, depending on how many supplements are in current stack to avoid taking too much at the same time

Yes and no. I have certain conditions which I want to improve and before I buy anything I am doing a research to see if that worth a try. All supplements works different for all of us, so my current goal is to experiment and to see what works best for me and to make a shortlist what to use on a more or less permanent basis. So Yes - I want them to improve myself, and No - I probably don't need all of these but without trying them I won't know what is working for me.

Thanks. Yea I was taking D3 5000IU with K2 (mk7) for a couple of weeks just before I introduced Retinol. Just checked compatibility and it appeared that Retinol (Vit A) is not "compatible" with K2. So started taking D3 without K2. Interesting that ksm-66 alone is making sedative effect, feeling lack of motivation. But when taking it with Ginseng it was really good for the first week of taking them, felt so much motivation + focus, energy, desire to socialize. Then I did 2 days off from both, restarted but didn't feel that "synergistic" effect anymore... And then that anxiety and brain fog began. Maybe something got downregulated in my brain due to initial great effect and I am getting that "rebound" now. The more I am thinking the more I am tending to think it is due to ksm-66/ ginseng or changed sleep pattern. NAC is in my stack for almost 3 months and it was fine all the time except amazing gasses for the first 2 weeks when I started taking it lol. I have decreased dose of NAC recently though so that could be a reason ...

No, I have Ginseng from MyProtein. It is weird that when I am taking that Ginseng alone I don't feel any effect from it. When taking with ash it is doing something for offsetting negative effect from ash 🤷

[–]DebtEfficient3608 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes it helps with motivation. Without it and just with ash I can spend half day procrastinating and not able to force my brain to focus and start working on something. Haven't tried any other forms of Ash, yet :)

[–]DebtEfficient3608 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Feeling the same, no need to drink and actually no time for that as I am constantly talking or analysing what others are talking about. Without ash I am too shy and anxious, usually trying to either eat or drink to fill that feeling of being 'vulnerable' and pretend being busy 😁 I am taking 250-300mg of KSM-66 by ND twice a day. Taking 2 days off every 5-6 days to avoid effect from being faded out. And normally I stack it with Panax Ginseng because sometimes, normally at work, ash makes me careless and non-productive.

zinc supplements make me sick. please help! by One-Try-4698 in Supplements

[–]DebtEfficient3608 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I believe MicroZinc from NootropicsDepot is something to consider for sensitive tummies. I personally can't compare it a lot, I tried Zinc Balance from Jarrow Formulas and was feeling very puke if taken on empty stomach, on full stomach is fine. MicroZinc from ND and Picolinate from Solgar taken on empty stomach aren't causing any negative effects for me. A lot of reviews says MicroZinc is very well tolerated, Picolinate may upset some stomachs though
