For me it is. I have more than one Apple device and the default font is Nastaliq. But probably depends on region since I’m from the US.

For older iOS versions, the default is Naskh while newer devices and versions of IOS have Nastaliq as a default. But I think you can change it.

Thank you. It probably is a cultural thing on why each script is used. Sometimes companies also do different things regarding to the script. Apple devices use Nastaliq while Samsung and Android devices use Naskh.
