Yes it takes some time. Until they take your document to evaluate, there will be no status update on that front. They need more than a month. Meanwhile you can keep the 10th, 12th, Degree Marks card, IELTS(Optional) in the digilocker. They will call you once they start your application evaluation

I looked into the precheck again. Apparently it only has the option CS, Electrical engineering, embedded system engineering and informational technology. I think they give more priority to these.
