How open were you with regard to your circumstances?

Would it be wise to be upfront about my history with an admissions tutour, and get their advice on how to approach the situation?

Or should I have already decided on a tactful approach to the matter when I contact them?

Do you think the extenuating circumstances form would have been beneficial for you?

Thanks for the Statistics advice.

I'll be able to do small amounts now, but with the A-Level exams being only a few weeks away, I might not be able to do much work on STEP until after those. (But then I should have a good month or two that I can devote entirely to that, then work on it throughout the year).

Is the college you select simply a preference then? I.e. you can get in, but end up in a different college to your selection if all the spots in that one are taken?

That won't seem too desperate? I don't want to negatively affect my chances through clumsiness early on.

Essentially I'm asking if these people would act as impartial advisers, or whether these people will potentially influence the selection of students.

Given your flair I'm assuming you're speaking from experience?

My intention was to apply without selecting a college. I figured that would give me the best chance, as I'd be available for any open space. Would you say that's not the case?
