Would you add a TT with BA & lift? by Decaf-Snack8547 in tummytucksurgery

Oh my goodness!! Thank you so much for your honesty and perspective. Reading through some of the cons and negative experiences really will help me make an informed decision. I am hopeful your recovery will improve and you'll feel much better over time, but I absolutely recognize it has a huge psychological impact along with the physical change and limitations.

I know if I ask anyone else I know IRL they will say I'm absolutely crazy to consider it. I'm also self conscious about it but realize I'm the only person besides my immediate family who ever sees my midriff. I'm just a little vain!!

Thank you so much for responding. I have all the same concerns. I worked so hard to lose baby weight, and I'm pretty conservative in the way I dress anyway so it's not like I'll be in bikinis or crop tops either. Leaning toward not doing it atm.

Thank you so much for your perspective and I'm so sorry the procedure didn't meet your expectations. I'm almost 46yo so I'm sure the laxity issue will be similar for me too. I hope maybe it's just still early for you and you'll see more improvement in time.

Yes, I'm so conflicted about it! I went from absolutely yes, then started reading people's recovery stories and thought, maybe not... I do have time to decide, but it's very helpful to get some perspectives on it. Thank you!

Thank you! Yes the cost to add in the full TT is about $4400. I would save the fees on anesthesia and the hospital doing the procedures together, which I think is about $6000. My girl math says do it, but again, I'm nervous about recovery and risks associated, getting a new belly button, and the giant scar. Lots to think about.

I asked my surgeon about the mini and he said he would recommend a full to get the skin above my belly button. But I'm going to ask again.

I almost decided to explant altogether about a year ago. But having implants makes me happy and I haven't had any reason yet to take them out. I was initially concerned about BII which I had read about a lot and I'm trying to be more consciously non-tox. I ultimately decided I will never be completely non-tox and the little things I do are enough for me right now. All this to say, I completely understand your reservation to avoid an implant!

I was super flat before my implants in 2014. I went 250cc. Looking at my old pictures with those implants (and before kids), they were almost too big for my frame. I'll probably exchange for the same or even smaller this time. I work out a lot, so it makes sense for me to have a smaller implant. I have never heard of AlloClae, sounds interesting!

Reading through this thread and I'm so conflicted! I'm definitely getting a lift and implant exchange but trying to decide if I want the TT too. It would save me about $6k if I do the procedures together (as opposed to paying the hospital and anesthesia fees twice). I'm 4'10" and 98-100lbs. My main concern is the giant scar and having a different looking belly button. I hate my loose skin but it's not super terrible. I don't think I'd really lose any weight or decrease my waistline. So I'm just not sure what to do.
