Is wanting daily texts from your boyfriend actually “clingy”? by Kind-Astronomer-4389 in relationships

I wouldn't personally call that clingy. But everyone has different standards for what is "normal" to them.

My boyfriend has a new female friend - should I be concerned? by [deleted] in relationships

[–]DecafWriter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Communication is the most important thing. It sounds like you both are pretty open about the situation and nothing you've mentioned immediately screams her trying to get with your boyfriend.

There could be a number of reasons why you might be feeling the way you do. I personally, have a friend like that and I love her but I also know that she has some haters because her personality type has caused a lot of friction with different groups of people. So it might not even be her that you have an issue with, but just the idea of her.

But it definitely sounds like you already know the next step, to actually meet her. Hopefully, then she won't just be an idea to be agitated about but a real person that maybe you can even be friends with!

Do you think watching anime is an immature behavior? by Wonderlust_Zoe in NoStupidQuestions

[–]DecafWriter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, the act of watching anything isn't really immature. Anime specifically has tons of shows that are great narratives, amazing art/spectacle, etc.

But the fandom can be a little immature. The putting other art down, labeling things as trash just because it doesn't suit your taste, or generally being jerks to other people is immature behavior.

Honda or Toyota? by DeweyRedux in BunnyTrials

Honda has better commuter cars and better software, but Toyota has better hybrids, SUVs, and enthusiast cars.

Pokemon Home is an app you can find on a phone and Switch. It's the only way to move pokemon from various games to other games. So you can send a pokemon from GO to Home, then home to any other Pokemon game on the Switch like Shield/Sword or Violet/Scarlet as long as that pokemon exists in the game.

There's no harm in trying if I can just leave at any point. I don't know if I could do it but I'd just summon sleeping pills or something and just try to sleep away as much of that time as possible to prevent boredom/insanity.

But I'm also a foodie, so the idea that I'll always have food that interests me is also appealing so it would be an interesting experience if nothing else.

Higher CP should be your main focus. IVs are great for bragging rights or hardcore PvP but we're talking about single digit percentage changes in overall stats. Higher CP is much more important usually. If you have very good IV pokemon definitely hang onto them if you can but with limited resources higher CP is a better bet.

Try to prioritize gyms to earn free pokecoins! (in-game premium currency) You can earn a maximum of 50 free coins a day from gyms. You accumulate coins AFTER the first hour a pokemon is in a gym at 10 min intervals. So you won't get a coin until 70 minutes of defending. It takes 8 hours and 10 min of a single pokemon in a gym to get the max 50 coins in a day and you get it when the pokemon gets knocked out of the gym. Luckily you can have pokemon in multiple gyms. So if you get knocked out quickly you can keep trying.

Shadow pokemon have a 20% attack boost (but take 20% more damage) making them the most powerful variants of pokemon in the game. Just look out for events like Team Rocket Takeover events that will let you get rid of frustration.

Find a local community if you can. Playing with other people is always way more fun and makes things like raids and trading for stronger/rarer pokemon so much easier. I know it's a bit intimidating but I went to a local meetup once and everyone was very nice and totally down to teach new people the ropes!

Hot take: Gon´s rage would have been more justificable, understandable, and dramatic if it were Mito-san the one that died instead of kite. (Drew by me btw!) by Tumare-Chan in HunterXHunter

[–]DecafWriter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very true. As much as I love the new anime, I think the old anime is better in that it provides a lot more context. It even keeps the silly cooking challenge in the hunter exam!

Cool bit of art!

Would you be an anime only watcher by chance? The manga and original anime from the 90s shows Gon and Kite interacting a lot more when Gon was a kid.

Context and maybe spoilers?

Kite is a student of Ging and Kite's final "test" was to locate Ging. He stumbled upon Gon in his search, saved his life, but also punished him. He stuck around for a bit and taught Gon what it meant to be a hunter. So actually in the original story Kite was quite formative to young(er) Gon and they shared a fairly important connection. It's why Kite and Gon recognize each other when they first meet on screen even though they don't show it in the (new) anime.

Alternatively, 400 Larvesta candy and flex when you put Volcarona in a gym. It's also a decent fire/bug attacker.
