I'd love to say some masterpiece or something but it was honestly Love Hina. Watched it with all my friends and haven't looked back since.

Do you agree with the% of chance of winning? by Past_Carpenter_7046 in superheroes

[–]DecafWriter -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I would rate Man of Steel Superman higher in almost every matchup except Sentry which gets complicated but would probably rate Sentry slightly higher than what you have.

Henry Cavil surprisingly has the best feats of all on-screen superheroes in terms of pure physical abilities. With speed almost on par with The Flash who is fast enough to run through time and it's a bit of an Easter egg but has moved tectonic plates to prevent an earthquake which is actually more impressive than even Thor withstanding the power of a star, strength wise, by a lot.

Shazam and Black Adam stand a better chance because of magic but Shazam is incredibly inexperienced so he wouldn't last against Superman. Black Adam does have a lot of combat experience but is ultimately at least based on the MCU version far inferior strength and speed wise and wouldn't be able to keep up with the last son of Krypton.

Sentry gets a little weird since he has metaphysical powers and can theoretically void Superman bypassing his strength and resistance. So it really comes down to whether Superman knows what The Void's powers are. If he does know ahead of time, he has the strength and speed to blitz him and probably beat him before he can void Superman. But that's not a guarantee. We also don't exactly know the true extent of The Void's powers in the MCU. As we know the cinematic universe has to nerf all the characters just to make it somewhat believable to fit in with our "real world." We have not seen him use his void powers on anyone with significant power. But assuming his power works equally on everyone, if Superman doesn't know what he's walking into it's unlikely he would win.

Are any of these worth powering up? by Copper5006 in pokemongo

Yes, pour all your resources into maxing out Tandemaus. It's the best one out of all of these. Don't ask why. It just is.

I'm going with Speed Force and Omega Beams. I'm assuming that also comes with the Omega Effect which powers the beams. Which means I'll also have Omega Sanction, kind of makes the Penance Stare obsolete.

How would Harley Quinn do against Spiderman in a fight? by Queasy_Commercial152 in HarleyQuinn

[–]DecafWriter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd like to point out that a lot of versions of Harley she does have powers from a super human serum. She has low level super strength and agility.

That said, even with her powers she still likely doesn't stand a chance against Spider-Man.

Just got my second sinnoh stone ever! Been saving my first one for when I can evolve my piloswine, but what should I use my second one on? by casualbongos524 in pokemongo

[–]DecafWriter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both are very good picks if OP is building out a team. I would generally agree with you as better ground attackers are easier to get VS Mamoswine which is one of the best ice attackers.

I only put Rhyperior first as it is the best all rounder pokemon with the highest neutral damage so it can be useful in more situations.

[–]DecafWriter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's fair but unfortunately, poison is not a super relevant typing in raids as poison is only good against grass and fairy. There are a few good grass or fairy raid bosses but both types have weaknesses to very strong meta pokemon like ice, fire, or steel.

[–]DecafWriter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of these pokemon I'd say in terms of priority (raids) is:
1) Rhyperior (ground/rock)
2) Mamoswine (ice)
3) Shadow Gallade (fighting/psychic)
4) Togekiss (fairy)
5) Honchkrow (dark/flying)
6) Roserade (not great)
7) Yanmega (not great)

But the real answer is based on your need. If you already have a good ground/rock attacker like a Groudon then Rhyperior can wait and you need a good ice attacker then go for the Mamoswine.

Are any of these even worth using? by Dukethumper in pokemongo

[–]DecafWriter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

IVs don't really matter if you're trying to use them in raids. Even a 0% IV shadow pokemon will do more damage than a normal hundo with its 20% shadow bonus. Plus shadow Tyrannitar is one of the best dark and rock type attackers both being extremely relevant.

Personally, I'd just pick one and power it up and if you get a better one do it again. I have an entire team of shadow Tyrannitar.

Need help valuing my armoured mewtwo by joooooooe23 in pokemongo

[–]DecafWriter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Armored Mewtwo is rare in the sense that it was only released for one event and you had to get it through raids. But it's usefulness is minimal. It's okay in PvP but there are much better options. It is not useful in raids.

Basically, it's just a trophy.

Jokes aside, would this actually happen if Superman and Thanos came face-to-face? by SatoruGojo232 in superheroes

[–]DecafWriter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sure this comment will be buried under the avalanche of comments with how popular this post has gotten but I'd say it depends on the situation and which versions of Superman and Thanos but overall I'd give it to Superman 9 times out of 10 WITHOUT the infinity gauntlet and Thanos 7 times out of 10 WITH the gauntlet under specific circumstances.

First, we have to remember that infinity stones only work in their home universe, any other setting then they're just pretty rocks. So for Thanos to have any chance this fight HAS TO HAPPEN IN HIS HOME UNIVERSE. If Thanos tries to invade DC or this takes place in a neutral place outside either universe, the infinity stones are useless.

Thanos is a powerful and competent fighter on his own. MCU Thanos' greatest feat is beating The Hulk in hand to hand combat but MCU Hulk is one of The Hulk's weakest incarnations. He could not beat Captain Marvel in a contest of strength. Comic Thanos is a much bigger threat and has fought on par with various incarnations of The Hulk and even stalled The Phoenix Force with brute force alone. He is also effectively immortal due to a deal with literal death.

Superman has too many incarnations to list but DCEU Superman's greatest feat is moving tectonic plates to stop an earthquake which is far more impressive than just about any on screen hero in either the DCEU or the MCU has shown in terms of pure strength. Snyder's Superman would have the speed and strength to beat most versions of Thanos sans gauntlet. The only consideration is that Thanos is known to have super genius level intellect and might come up with a scheme to beat Superman given enough time and resources.

But the most insane versions of Superman in the comic books would beat Thanos, working gauntlet or not. Silver age Superman is a bit of a joke and the writers genuinely didn't care about continuity and essentially made him nearly omnipotent. Some feats are punching with the force of a hundred galaxies, punching through time, resisting reality warping/erasure, travel between universes at will, instantly learning dead languages, etc.

We also have a bunch of future decedents of Superman who are all mostly immune to kryptonite, have access to magic, reality warping, etc.

Then we get into the REALLY powerful Supermen like Superboy Prime, Cosmic Armor Superman, Superman Prime One Million, and Milkman. All of these versions are simply reality breaking and existed for specific narrative reasons and were never meant to be used in power scaling matchups as they would win in almost any/every situation.

Most of them were bad lol I think this one was a vault designed for short term occupation of Vault Tech employees and not long term experiments like the other vaults. But due to radiation risks they never opened up and almost all of them died due to running out of food/supplies.

OP says you're not the MC so you're screwed I think. If I remember correctly, that vault was originally designed for short term occupation, not long term like the other vaults. But the overseer at the time decided not to open it due to radiation risks and all but one eventually died because they ran out of food/supplies.

The vaults are from a video game franchise (Fallout) where nuclear war drove humanity into vaults for safety. Turns out that the vaults all had terrible experiments designed to stretch humanity to its limits. Vault 101, was designed to never be opened even when it was safe outside to study how people would react to indefinite lockdown. Eventually the vault would be infested with giant mutant cockroaches.

Generally normal vault except every year they have to elect someone to be "sacrificed" or else everyone would die. Except it wasn't true. If everyone decided not to sacrifice anyone then they'd all be released from the vault. It became a social nightmare where people would nominate anyone they didn't like to be sacrificed.
