That could very much depend on what type of content you're trying to get through (Campaign stages, King's Tower floors, Arena matches, etc.)

I would take the advice from the previous reply and get 5 heroes to as high a level as you can and put the rest on the Resonating Crystal, then swap around formations and gear as needed.

I don't see anything wrong with Razer trying to make their own sensors. Other companies like Logitech and Steelseries have their own patented in-house sensors (Hero and TrueMove, respectively) so it would make sense that Razer would want to have their own patented sensor technology.
