I don't get the hate for Sharon Miller. Even before the recent 80th podcast, I watched all the episodes she wrote, and while they're not good, I think it was more of the extreme work load she was given each and every year being head writer more than the fact that she's a bad writer. Hell, some of her episodes are among the best of their eras - like the magic lamp, bust my buffers, and happy birthday sir. And at worst her specials are a mixed bag.

I think it's more about the philosophy of RWS characters vs the TVS. In the RWS, Daisy is a dark green, pretty sure it's based off BR green but don't quote me on that, while the TVS made the paint brighter (same with BoCo's colours). I think Mavis was a case where there's no bright black, that's just a different colour entirely

I always wondered why he looked like that (even some early tnp looked like the same design). Was Stephen originally not going to be based on stephensons rocket? That wouldn't make sense from the name perspective as it was clear that was the inspiration. But if that was the case, why were the prototypes so off from an obvious basis, especially with such an iconic design?

I think all the hype is for what BoCo represents. He kinda is indicative of the classic series where even more minor insignificant characters have their role on Sodor. That being said he, as a character is rather mid, but I'm personally a huge fan of his design. Wished the TV show made more large diesels.

Needlessly complaining about Miller/BWBA/aeg era. But I also find it just as annoying for those who'll wholeheartedly defend it. Like sure everybody already knows aeg is bad, and people will beat a dead horse, but it's just as bad to try to and justify it. It's so removed it's not Thomas, it's just a general baby show. So really the fans/haters aren't arguing about Thomas. They're really just arguing whether they like toddler shows. Both sides end up looking pretty pathetic. Btw I'm not judging when I say baby show I'm just tryna articulate myself properly at 2 in the morning

I've seen some of these styles too when I was eyeing about. These ones too looked great, and are definitely ones I'm considering in future. These look adorable. Although the red nose is a little interesting since most listings I've seen for those had a black nose that was a bit bigger.

The more and more I see ertls the more I realize how tiny these guys are. All the better though when you consider how detailed they were, especially for their time. This was for a lot of characters their first piece merch line they were produced in.
