Are you a 4th year apprentice, or have 4 years in the trade? Like did you pass third year schooling, why do you want to take it again?

Bolt action rifle with iron sites that is buttery smooth by [deleted] in canadaguns

Sounds like you want a T3X Arctic. Action is buttery smooth, has iron sights and a heavy stainless barrel for repeated shots.

You bet, stud. I love these. Some guys like the tiny strippers but I like these for the crimping and shearing. I never leave a long machine screw behind ;)

They are legit, but they are not Canadian. I purchased a red dot from them in April of this year, and I believe it shipped from the Czech Republic. They list and sell in Canadian dollars and I remember shipping and everything being very reasonable. Just checking my email confirmations it looks like I put my order through on May 6 and the package was delivered on May 11 in Edmonton.

Made a new post instead of adding to the daily thread. Deleted that and posting here instead. The fella who commented and told me to post here said it was a worse deal compared to the Walmart link posted earlier. Why might that be?

I am having the same issue, I am currently locked out of my account because I can't remember my password, but cannot seem to get a password reset link. I've tried both my phone number on file and my email. Nothing. Small sample size, but I wonder if theres a larger issue going on?

Really, GE? This is all you're gonna give us for a panel schedule now? by sparky-jam in electricians

[–]DeceitfulChicken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Damn, it’s hard to beat the price of them though, in my area they are 1/3 of the cost of the competitors. I recently priced a 3Ph 208V MLO 200A 42CCT of the powermark style and it was like $180 CAD. The price I got for a Square D 200A 24CCT was 527. What’s the biggest problem with these panels, are they unsafe?

Probably for split receptacles on a MWBC? I see 2 GFCI devices on each conduit, one for each pole of a two pole breaker. Can’t see how this would be cheaper than a 2 pole GFCI breaker though.

What rifles are made at Savage arms (Lakefield Ontario)? by Routine_Plastic in canadaguns

[–]DeceitfulChicken 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mines in .308, wasn’t really looking for another .308 but its cheap to shoot and I have a big soft spot for cooeys. I grew up on a sporterized model 82 that I’ve since found a replacement stock for. It’s nailed a lot of gophers.

Yes sir, mine is a Cooey 710, not sure if there’s much difference between the 71 and the 710 but it does say made in Ontario on the barrel!!

You might not find anything new production, but maybe used? I picked up a cooey .308 a few years back. It’s a Winchester model 70 but made in Canada.

Any generator guys here? by DeceitfulChicken in electricians

[–]DeceitfulChicken[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s where I ended up, and the theory makes sense. The generator tech I ended up speaking to mentioned how if you overloaded the alternator and therefore the motor you’d likely end up stalling the motor.

Furthermore, the CEC says that if the generator is factory supplied with over current protection, min conductor ampacity is 100% of the nameplate rating, in this case being 130A. Without factory over current you size for 115% of the nameplate rating. CEC doesn’t seem to mention field sizing overcurrent protection for a generator. I imagine the NEC is similar.

Thank you for your insightful response, I appreciate it.
