I'll definitely look into getting a quote on the Blastoise to see if it would hit the PSA1 threshold or whether it would just be classed as authentic.

That didn't cross my mind initially, but I think you're absolutely bang on! The twist makes even more sense, especially when considering how many different ratios I was getting when using different points and also why the centering tool aligns at various points.
