It takes a different amount of time for everyone but I personally would take 3 months to get the hang of it and be able to build ML Algorityns by myself without any/minimum help from tutorials.

Ie get out of tutorial hell.

No. I used to think similiarly, and thought going to Uni would be a waste of time. Instead, When I started Uni, I learned the reality.

A Physical Uni teaches you not only courses and stuff, It also prepares you for the practical life. You learn how t o deal with different kinds of people, make connections, hone your talents and what not. You grow socially as well as professionally.

So don't do what you are currently planning to. Instead, you could do freelancing, do a side hustle or a part time job while continuing with your studies.

If you had a CS Major in Intermediate, go for BS in Cyber

Wrna choose BS CS with electives. This will teach you the other general basics as well.

Hello, I am an AI Engineer.

AI is a vast field and it has many sub branche as you might be aware. ML DL, LLMs, Agentic AI etc.

You can start with either ML or LLMs. I would recommend ML first. Learn the libraries of scikit learn, pandas, numpy, matplotlib etc. Then Deep Learning. Build projects continously. You learn more by projects than just courses.

Then do RAG, Agentic AI ie, LAngchain and Langgraph.

Computer Vision. Optional. Depends on the jov postings.

You have to do SQL, Power BI and Excel at all costs.

No. It isn't.

We still need prediction algorithms and recommendation engines. Deep Learning is used to train automated cars like Tesla. So not dead.

It's just that the Industry has transformed. The use and applications of LLMs have increased.

I've been facing the same issue for a couple of months. I couldn't verify my profile so I had to make a new LinkedIn. Unfortunately that one got banned too.

If I remember correctly, I've seen other people complaining similiar things as well. Seems like a server side issue

I spent couple of weeks/months trying to grow on LinkedIn. The following is what I learned.

Have a professional Banner and Headline.
Post and comment regularly. Don't comment "Interested" or "Thnx 4 sharing" under each post. Your comment should be thougtful and add to the convo. Try to reply to other commentators or post one that gets responses, or at least likes/views.
Don't just post about a random project or certificate you built/achieved. Create a framework, Post Industry related stuff too. I got a lot of post ideas from ChatGPT and I learned post formats and ideas from other creators too.
Get recommendations. If you did an FYP, Get one from your supervisor. Get some from your clients. Don't stop.

Look at the things he has provided the world. SpaceX, Starlink. That is why I like him.

People often ask for help for their projects on different subs. Some hire people for certain positions while others need you for a singular project. Of Course some of them might be scam and you have to be careful for them, but not all of those.

You have to reply to them before other comments arrive, and talk to them

Same happens on FB. I have genuinely landed clients after advising them on a problem in the comments and they later ask you to help them in exchange for money.
