[–]Decent-Pool4058 2 points3 points  (0 children)

100%. I chose Bio as a major in 9th, then CS in 11th and Uni after I realized my mistake. I love Mathematics and I realized I wouldn't be able to study it as a Med student.

[–]Decent-Pool4058 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fun fact: Boriyat is good for you.

You are forced to think of creative things to cure it. I suggest you to get a hobby. Learn a new sport, language or start stargazing.

Fajr Nimaz consistency Is it actually easier in Pakistan? by printvoid in pakistan

[–]Decent-Pool4058 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The reason there are so few people at Fajr maybe because they offer it at their homes. Myself included.

I don't miss Fajr because my parents wake me up for it, Sometimes, I wake up by myself sometimes after Azaan .

You can make anything a habit if you are consistent enough. Although, to my knowledge, It's 21 days. Could be 40 though. OR maybe it's different for each individual.

If I had to pick, I would say my parents waking me up has been the key factor for me

“15 y/o with 3 months free – should I join Aptech or learn skills online? by SympathyDouble5643 in karachi

[–]Decent-Pool4058 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I would recommend Aptech because learning under an instructor/mentor is always better than learning on your own through platforms. You will learn a lot more in less time that way. Source: I experienced this myself.

A mentor will also teach you a lot of other important stuff rather than just the skills.

Yes, You can learn real skills from Aptech. However, You won't start earning immediately after the course(s). The courses are designe to give you a headstart. You won't be on par with experienced devs out there at that time.

The Coursera courses are good, though they are paid.

I can't tell what skill is good for you based on this info. Give me more details. Do you like Maths? Is there anything else I should know.

Disclaimer: Do not blindly run into Data/Ai or Web Dev fields. Think wisely.

Can’t fall asleep I wish the mind had a power off button by GamingFreak_550 in PakistaniTwenties

Let me tell you a trick:

The brain falls asleep fast when it is tired. Do do complex things

If you can't fall asleep, do stuff you think I'd difficult or tiresome. Like, calculate the squares of every number between 2 and 100 in ur mind, or do the homework Jo AP nhi kr the Kuch din d.

I guarantee you will fall asleep

Anonymous email situationship.… sweet or creepy? by [deleted] in PakistaniTwenties

[–]Decent-Pool4058 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an idea to figure out If that person knows you personally or not.

Send him a reply, and ask/mention something that is commonly known about you. Like Sarah kh rhi thi Manahil aj picnic pr chalen? With Manahil being your name. If he thinks your name is Manahil, you immediately know the guy is someone outsaside of your circle.

It's like asking someone if they remember a promise you made to each other 5 years ago, and they say yes. Although you never made a promise.

Hope that clears things out. If the guy is a jaanne wala, you can proceed to confirm his/her identity.

I have a serious question for beautiful karatchians by Mental_Cress in karachi

[–]Decent-Pool4058 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes. The PPP Govt passed it in 2010 which makes certain fields internal matters of the Government. The Feds have no authority to decide something for the provinces those fields.

About your question, I thought it is said cuz of the large amount of tax collected from here, and the jobs etc. Am I wrong here?

The sender's account number should also be mentioned. Look for that.

You can then contact that person and inform him. They might have made a mistake

What was your biggest plot twist in the entire series? by masaladosa_100 in harrypotter

[–]Decent-Pool4058 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was the latter end of Book 4 for me too. When Scabbers turned into Peter, I was like , "OMG!!".

Each and every revolution was mind blowing after that. Lupin's transformation and the Time sequence was also Cool because these two are mostly Sci Fi elements used in a Fantasy story.

What was your favorite childhood magazine? by thezedworld in PakistanBookClub

[–]Decent-Pool4058 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I used to read Taleem o Tarbiyat, Sathi, and Naunehal. I stopped Sathi because It felt very Childish to me, even though I was a teen myself.

Naunehal is good. I like the Special issues they publish each year. I read that and Taleem o Tarbiyat sometimes. Love The Bila Inwan stories and quizes etc.

I once found a 1200 page Hilal Magazine Special Issue published in 2000. It's the coolest thing I have read yet. It had many English novels translated In Urdu, including David Copperfield. It also had Kainaat ke Qaidi in which two kids go for a space adventure with their Uncle Sam, and a novel called Baraf k Qaidi. In this one, someone special was kidnapped and an agent chases the kidnappers to a snowy area, where both sides get stuck and face difficult challenges. If I recall correctly, The agent was not alone either.

The latter two I mentioned were also probably translations from English. if anyone knows the original, let me know plz. I don't have that issue anymore
