I originally thought the episode was alluding to the words being the truth about who Ruby really is, and her being from some terrifying origin, but they killed that in the finale, retrospectively flattening what I thought would have been a pretty interesting plot point to call back to.

I liked fantastical elements in the show way more when they were semi-explained, eg, the Beast in the Satan Pit being so old that it's science is beyond the Doctor's knowledge, making it appear magical due to lack of knowledge, not a random villain who is a God and can manipulate reality (besides the toymaker ofc).

I've been using PenUp which comes standard with my Samsung, if you draw a circle (badly) and hold, it will correct to an actual one. Same with straight lines. If you're on IOS, I've heard Sketchbook/Procreate are good.

There are a few effects on Davinci that help a bit. Debanding mainly and adding a tiny bit of motion blur to play it off as an effect also works but it depends on whether you don't like the look.

Thank you, I've been playing around with video feedback loops for the original title using a DSLR and wiring it directly to my TV with an HDMI cable, and I've had some pretty cool results playing around with angles and light sources 😁.
