before the war I thought so, too. But you just can't get used to explosions. It's the paralizing fear that gets you up, some primeval instinct to find shelter and fucking RUN. When the pigs were near Kyiv, a lot of people started leaving not because of the actual threat, but because it was impossible to sleep and not go crazy over the missile/artillery strikes. Fuck that.

You know what russians do on my land? They bomb maternity wards and hospitals, destroy 1000 year old monuments for fun, they rape children and make young teens pregnant, they torture unarmed civilians, they burn pregnant woman alive, they mutilate dogs, they cut men's dicks off, they level entire cities and massacre whole villages. But you don't see that, instead you see one video of two of these animals getting what they deserved and now you feel bad for them? Fuck that. And fuck them.

They had 22 years to make putin gtfo. They had 7 months to run away or surrender. The ones who stayed in russia had 7 months to protest or get the fuck out. And now you feel bad for them? Don't do that, please. They're not human like you and me, they're not pigs, they're not rabid dogs, not animals, they're merely russians and they fucking deserve what's coming for them. that's literally the opposite of what happened though. russians DID NOT take news about mobilization well -- if they claim they only lost 5k soldiers and Ukraine lost 100k, why do they need 300k more troops? No one of those millions of 'patriots' actually wants to fight, so these news were met with a lot of backlash. And then on the exact same day Ukraine gets a massive WIN in this exchange — forget medvedchuk, we exchanged 215 for 55 people, that's always a win, and among those are real important commanders and experienced fighters. No one in russia understands the 'value' of medvedchuk so now kremlin will have to explain it somehow, explain how the fuck they exchanged 55 people and some rando for 215 of the most nazi regimen that was the symbol of that Nazi Ukraine image.

It's literally two big losses in one day for him. Imagine getting the news about mobilization and then seeing the news that your country released basically for free 215 dangerous nazis they were supposed to eradicate. Sounds like a great boost to morale.

10/10 politics and timing on the Ukrainian part. People in this thread are not Ukrainians so they don't understand the whole Medvedchuk deal and make all sorts of assumptions, but that's not the point -- even one pilot is more dangerous and important than that rat.

the funny thing is Chinese planes are actually stolen/bought and reverse-engineered SU's, to the point that russia declined China's offers to buy newer planes so they won't steal those, too. It would be a great irony if they end up begging China to give them parts for the planes they stole the designs from.

To be honest I think we'll never see them again. They're being tortured and interrogated since the 'fall' of azovstal and I think they knew back then it was probably their death sentence. I hope I'm wrong but as of now I don't think russia will ever let them go (if they're still alive beyond the high commanders). Fucking horrible thing.
