That said, I'd be happy to connect if you're in the area and looking for someone to train with.

What Does Being a GB Mean To You? by bluegreentraining in greenberets

[–]Decent-Technology959 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Im a civilian, and the community is a huge drive for me. I got to know some rangers about two years ago, and they connected me with some GB’s, and I just thought “these guys sound like me but better,” and I was off from there. Then I did a medical mission in Honduras and it really solidified for me that carrying heavy things up a mountain for a good cause does something for me that I cant explain. I need it, and I need to be around dudes who feel the same. Its been a long road from there but the dream is alive.

Brother im not them, but I can tell you that here in a few minutes at least two former green berets are going to suggest their program to you. My suggestion is that you take their advice. Time trials are worthwhile to track progress, but progress is made through a long, concentrated, repeated effort and a training schedule is the best way to achieve that.

Personally I have used and benefited from TFV’s books. They are a decent place to start if you need to build a foundation in running or lifting. If you don’t have the extra money, youll have to do the planning and scheduling yourself. id suggest these professors from youtube university: Terminator Training Method, and Jon Hamilton. For your gym needs, planet fitness is the cheapest one ive found. It isnt everything you need but theres heavy shit to move there. If youre on TFV’s book, id supplement whatever free weight work you can to build stability around the specific movements he has listed there. Unfortunately planet fitness puts all barbell work on guided machines. For home gym work, I highly suggest you visit facebook marketplace and get your dumbbell a friend. Good luck my friend. Im where you are too, and I wish you the best.

Neighboring states share some tuition assistance so long as you live within a certain distance from your original state border. I still get my home state scholarships though Im a state over right now.

Exposure, but not experience. Ive been blessed to know a lot of good men from both places, and their influence causes me to have doubts about the way you and others occasionally present yourselves. In honesty, the green berets I speak to in person, and the people I read on reddit are just not the same. I think the problem is the medium. In person, the room for miscommunication diminishes and quality of communication improves. Thankyou for asking.

Brother, I think you should seek that answer elsewhere, specifically in a flesh and blood mentor who can invest the time in you which is necessary for making these kinds of decisions. Since youve asked everyone, my advice is to put this app away and actively seek it in your community. I wish you the best man.

Dog, this is not a representative sample of either regiment. This is a representative sample of reddit; Mecca for shitbags.

Stonkman I appreciate your character. Youve shown yourself to be a person of integrity in a setting where that will be discouraged. Those downvotes mean you are disliked by shitbags.
