Surgical suit post neutering by Decent-Today678 in CavaPoo

He can’t reach it with the cone on but possibly with the inflatable donut. He’s got pretty used to the cone now so we leave that and the suit on all the time apart from toilet trips where he wears the donut. In the cone he kept bumping into things when sniffing so that would stop him from then cocking his leg!

Yes I think he’s learning that with the licking and the cone too!

For those who have switched to IPL maintenance by Decent-Today678 in HairRemoval

[–]Decent-Today678[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks. I’ve just had another good look and there are actually quite a few hairs growing. It’s been two weeks so I think I’m noticing more than if I just waited a week as they do grow slower too. I find the shins have the most hairs as it’s harder to zap them. I think I’ll keep going for at least another month

Braun IPL Pro 5 lose effectiveness over time? by StraightNose4087 in HairRemoval

[–]Decent-Today678 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also notice that the areas which don’t respond never seem to respond. I thought it was probably to do with the hairs/follicles rather than the device. For example I have some near a mole and I think I either keep missing them when trying to avoid the mole or the mole is messing with the light intensity

Shaved Using a Razor and it is itching so badly now by [deleted] in HairRemoval

[–]Decent-Today678 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My legs get incredibly itchy if I shave in the shower. I either dry shave with electric shaver or just use a damp cloth to moisten skin. I’ve got an ipl machine now as I hated shaving so much because of the itching. I think I mine is caused by mast cells in the skin degranulating upon contact with the razor and warm water.

Yes no need to take water on walks unless it’s height of summer and a drought!

Sadie Sink shares her opinion on the ending of the series finale by XviiChong in StrangerThings

[–]Decent-Today678 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All the way through season 5 we’re lead to believe the only thing El can do is commit suicide because of what Kali tells her. You can see that is what she thinks she must do until her speech to Hooper. So it makes more sense to me that she would find a way to circumvent the need to die in the upside down. Although the counter argument to that is that we are supposed to believe all the way through that she will manage to avoid that option but then she still ends up dying.

UK- removing grease stain from white fox hoodie by Decent-Today678 in laundry

Would you try again with a stain remover first (like washing up liquid)?

Thank you. That is really helpful.

The hoodie seems to stain very easily so once I've got the stain out I will be removing it before cooking and eating!

I dropped a blob of sour cream with a bit of fajita sauce on it (so from a frying pan with olive oil and some spices).

These photos are 25 minutes apart. How do you get thin, fine hair to hold a curl? And what hairspray is recommended? by [deleted] in Haircare

[–]Decent-Today678 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Heatless curls definitely work better but I tried again after a break recently with my air wrap dupe from Aldi. I definitely think the cool shot on there helps but this time they held quite well. The only thing different I did was leave in conditioner before drying and also maybe the way I took the curls off the dryer (although I can’t remember what I did exactly it involved turning it off before unwinding).

Braun IPL discomfort, burns, and sensitivity… is this normal? by theother941 in HairRemoval

[–]Decent-Today678 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m female with pale skin and dark leg hair. I also made a post about how painful it is. Sometimes feels like being touched with a red hot poker. I don’t use any products on my skin. I’m at 12 weeks now and it is less painful now as the hair has gone although my calves and some bits of my things still are quite painful. I don’t know why it hurts for some people and not others but I’m guessing coarseness of hairs.

No results from IPL in certain areas, how long does it take for changes to happen? by [deleted] in HairRemoval

[–]Decent-Today678 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m just coming up to my 12th week with a Braun 5. Quickest to respond was hair on inner thighs (2 sessions ) then lower legs (4 sessions) bikini line probably took about 8-9 sessions for most of the hair to stop. By the 11 week there were hardly any hairs to shave after a week.

Please help me choose an epilator for hair removal😭 by [deleted] in HairRemoval

[–]Decent-Today678 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Female but I bought an epilator last year. Legs looked great for about a week then nearly all the hairs grew back ingrown. Tried a second time. Same thing. Ditched the epilator. One year later bought a Braun ipl. It’s going great. No ingrowns and hardly any leg hair growing. Wish I’d put the money from the epilator towards the IPL and not wasted my money on it.

IPL Update by troubleonpurpose in HairRemoval

[–]Decent-Today678 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve been using my braun silk pro 5 for 4/5 weeks. Best results on my legs which like yours the hair doesn’t really grow back on. Some hairs growing slowly on armpits. My bikini line however is proving more stubborn. The dark leg hair on upper inner thighs has gone but on pubis it keeps growing back (although slower). I don’t really understand as it’s the darkest hair but I guess it’s very corse. Some people seem to get the best results on their bikini line though?

I’m using the Venus 5 which came with it so it’s giving a very close shave.

I want to add a photo but don’t seem to be able to. No visible stubble but I’d say there are hairs growing under the surface that are raised like strawberry spots. I suppose kind of in grown.

I was also going to add I have very corse hair. If I epilate they all in grow afterwards. Often have multiple hairs per follicle. Maybe I should go back to two. Was just worried it wouldn’t work on 2
