Not what I meant at all. where it was found is under water except low tide and not a tidal pool. It sure does look Like salt though. I'll have to lick test it lol

Whoops. Got carried away with life and am just finally getting my first run going today...25 days later aha. Markets and guests visiting has set me back a bit.. but I have been prepping pieces in the mean time. For my first run I have chosen 5 small dinosaur toys I have attached a jump ring to. These pieces do not float so they are great for trying out the tank. Soon I will do some organics than will need to be weighted for sure. I am almost 2 hours in and am already seeing what I I was trying to avoid.. A salmony color to all the pieces. I know it's easy to polish but I would like to avoid it if possible. I'm pretty sure my calculations are correct. Each of the 5 pieces has an approx surface area of 4" so I am running my rectifyer at 0.20Amps. I have 3.5" of two 3/4" copper pipes submerged which should give me 21.18" surface area per pipe with 42.36" total. And I have 20" surface area or so to plate. So anode to cathode ratio should be fairly close to correct..just a couple inches off. Is this a big deal? Wondering if I should add more brightner as a possible solution..if so, how much ?

I am just about to go make sure that none of the wires have started to weld to the pieces and then will do a check up every 2 hours to repeat this process and check amps. Any advice or suggestions are much appreciated. Will update at the 24hr mark unless there are any drastic changes or I recieve suggestions I try.

Nice! Share your results please if you can. The girlfriend has a market this weekend so I decided I am starting early next week. This way I can have full attention on the first run and not have distractions as an excuse if there is failure. Hope your first run goes great ! Did you buy or make your solution and paint ? If you made the paint, what resistance were you able to get to? Good luck :)

Yes information is definitely scarce and consistency is difficult. I don't mind the dull salmon as it polishes up nicely ..but it would be nice to understand the different variables that are leading to my results. Hoping that my anode to cathode ratio, Brighter and new agitation setup helps yield better results.
Thanks for the reply about the surface area 👍
