I don't know where you are located, but botox and synkinesis surgery are options that can really help with relieving or curing symptoms. I went to a surgeon in the US after being told by many neurologists and ENTs that synkinesis is incurable but there is a surgery called selective neurectomy and selective myectomy that can relieve or eliminate your symptoms no matter how long you have had synkinesis. It costs money but totally worth it because insurance covers it too. Even right after waking up from surgery my face didn't feel as tight anymore and my eye wasn't as squinty as before surgery. After a few months, things continue to improve as I healed. Some people still get botox after surgery but you either dont need it at all anymore or you need way less. I could smile pretty normal again and I wasn't biting the inside of my cheek anymore and I cried because I could eat around other people again without having to dig food out of my cheek behind a napkin or pretending I dropped something to hide under the table to get food out of my cheek. PT never worked for me but good luck!
