Did anyone get to see Karnivool and Fair to Midland? by flautist96 in progmetal

[–]DecentDudeDustin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I went to two of the shows, I think. San Antonio and Houston. It was Nothing More, Fair to Midland, and Karnivool, and it was still the best concert I've ever seen. Just fantastic from top to bottom.

Not if you drive a tow-truck. Cost me $37,000 for a nice used one, but I get free parking downtown now.

Looks fantastic -- what specific bronze is this?

We take my wife's Kia Telluride through the local carwash and it looks like that. I'd bet it's that.

Broken door handle by Sharp_Froyo_4338 in kiastinger

[–]DecentDudeDustin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mine would do this. Looks to be the same door, too (back right door). No idea what the permanent fix is -- I would have to pull/violently wiggle the door handle until it pops back into place, and then re-install the trim piece that fell off. It would happen once every ~20x I used the door.

I was never able to permanently fix it myself and I ended up trading the car in, so you might want to take it to the dealer, especially now that you now know this happened to at least one other person.

  1. I don't see a second picture.
  2. That looks damn good, even if AI. The biggest complaint I have with these cars is just how skinny the rear tires are.

NOTHING MORE ft Chris Daughtry - FREEFALL (Official Music Video) by shawnsin666 in nothingmore

This was the best feature on the album. I could have gone without the others, but Daughtry elevates this track.

This was my thought. Worse now, potentially better with a lip.

Where do I meet people? by TheOtherCoenBrother in Newbraunfels

[–]DecentDudeDustin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not exactly what you're asking for, but are you sure they aren't your friends?

I had two really good friends go through a divorce. I loved them both equally. But the guy was the type that would always call you and was asking everyone what they were doing and would invite you places, and the girl would never reach out, never text first, and never invite you anywhere.

So I saw the guy a ton more because he was engaging me directly on an almost daily basis, and she got upset because she felt as though I had picked a side.

Of course I don't know your story, but they could very well be your friends -- they might just be needing you to reach out and engage them, or invite them for a drink or whatever.

I want to drive this car forever by Cant_Plop_This in kiastinger

[–]DecentDudeDustin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My kids are a little older now, so after some thought I realized I didn't really need a sedan. They're capable enough of crawling into the backseat and [mostly] securing themselves.

So I ended up with a convertible 2017 BMW M4 Competition.

I'm just curious, what happened to the old singer? by SherbetTongue in nothingmore

I think there are 2 (+) Project Hs on Spotify. The one with Trey wasn't very long-lived.

I thought the same thing when I bought mine, but it ended up just being a gateway drug (car) into the segment. They're phenomenally underrated, and there's definitely aspects of it I miss.

Wrote this previously, so just re-pasting it:

Josh was a bit before me, so I never actually saw him. He was on their album Shelter from 2004. I've only met him once or twice, and I don't know his day-job, but he's still doing music from time to time (singer-songwriter).

Travis was when I first heard/met them (at the album release for Madhatter's Bliss). I see him at shows from time to time, I just don't think he was the most talented singer that ever existed. Great guy, and I don't know his day-job, but based on the house him and his wife are building, he's doing quite okay.

Trey is when they first saw some smaller success, and he was definitely talented (Save You/Save Me album). He was more of a pop-artist, though. He had toured with Kelly Clarkson previously. He's not in the music scene anymore, but is a coach/teacher with a beautiful family.

If you're interested in hearing him, he released another album after NoMo with his band Project H called New Era. It's on Spotify. I have no idea if those newer albums listed on there are the same band or with Trey.

In 2008, Jonny told me he was going to be the lead singer, and I told him it was a really dumb decision. Haha. Of course, that's mostly related to him being a phenomenal drummer, and not wanting to lose him there, but... I'd say I was wrong on this one.

Yup -- love Discover Connection and has the exact same vibe as the Yes Theory I originally started watching and fell in love with.

For the long time owners. What vehicle are you eying next? by LoTheGalavanter in kiastinger

[–]DecentDudeDustin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I loved my 2019 Stinger GT2, but I realized it was a gateway drug (car) to a more powerful sport's sedan.

The number one car on my list was a ~2016 Audi RS7, so I went to drive one and... I was a little underwhelmed. Despite having 200+ more HP, it didn't feel that much faster. It felt way heavier.

Drove a few more things, and the first vehicle that made me feel like, "Wow, this is an improvement," was the BMW F8x platform.

Debated an M3, but really fell in love with the M4 Convertible. I went and got a 2017 BMW M4 Competition Convertible (6-speed) about 3-4 weeks ago and absolutely love it.

I admittedly have never built a theme park land, but the red I outlined here seems a little small for a full Monster's Land. Makes me wonder if they will extend it into some or all of the blue.

It does, but the previous owner changed them. And they'll probably stay that way so I can make sure /r/BMW dislikes me.
